  • Yeast infections aren't STDs, and they can occur regardless of your sexual activity. Just say "Mom, I think I might have a yeast infection."

If you've never had a yeast infection diagnosed by a doctor before, you need to go to the doctor to find out whether or not that's what this is before you use any type of treatment. Using the wrong treatment can be harmful and delay treatment of the real issue. If you have a yeast infection, your doctor may recommend a topical ointment such as Monistat or may prescribe another treatment for you.

If you've previously had a yeast infection diagnosed by a doctor, you can use an at-home test to rule out bacterial vaginosis, and then treat with an over the counter treatment such as Monistat if you want to. Or, you can still head to the doctor, especially if you think you may need a prescription treatment.

  • Yeast Infections are Not a Big Deal Here, dear, and they do Not... Necessarily Come, hun, from Having 'Had Sex." My own Grandma used to Get these.
Tell Mom that you Think you May have One, hun, and Need to See a Doctor, which is Best from the Rest, and Nothing from a Drug Store.
Wearing Undies, for I ONLY will Wear them when Needed, Can Contribute to this Here, dear, for the Private down There needs Air, and Cannot Breathe when "Smothered" by Cotton nor Silk. Remind Mom of this.
    Good Luck. xx

  • you'll need antibiotics just tell her, it's not a big deal. but if untreated it could get very very bad

    • Yeast infections are not treated by antibiotics- in fact, they can be caused by antibiotics. However, if this is actually a bacterial infection rather than a yeast infection, then antibiotics would be used.

    • ah, you're correct. I'm thinking uti's ^^ but still you should see a doctor regardless

    • Yes, definitely see a doctor!

  • There is nothing special about a yeast infection. Tell her and go to a doctor.

  • You should get her attention asap. She may not like ur activities, but she's ur mom and you don't want to get even sicker.

  • Be honest. She already knows you are sexually active, so there isn't any worries there. You could be getting them from condoms if you use them, so that would be comforting to her. Makes no nevermind how you got it, anyway. You need to tell her so it can be treated. Just so you know, it's nothing to be embarrassed about. Vaginas are sensitive.

    • Thank you 😭💕 I appreciate it

    • Awww it's no worries. Good luck with mama😊

  • Citric soda and cranberry juice, but if your mom knows your having sex just tell her about your infection

  • dont tell her just go see ur doctor asap or tell your dad or maybe a favorite aunt

  • She's a female too, you shouldn't be embarrassed, just say "I have a yeast infection and I don't know what to do"

    • Thank you ☺️💯
