Is getting your cherry popped supposed to hurt?

I've been seeing this guy, but like I'm a virgin. And we've fooled around once before. However last night he picked me up from work. We drove around for a bit and then parked the car in an empty lot and started fooling around again.

The first time we fooled around, he had struggled to get a finger in me. But I guess maybe between how turned on I was and the way I was on my knees in the seat he managed to get two fingers in me. And like it hurt for a moment, but not like a pain that was too much if that makes sense, so I had kinda just figured it was stretching out again a bit.

it was dark, so we didn't see the blood until I got home and went to go pee, and there was blood in my panties. Literally right when I saw the blood HE called and said I should check myself, because apparently after he'd dropped me off he realized there was blood on his finger. He feels SUPER bad about it, and said he wanted to make that more special even if we didn't technically have sex.

But like now it's a day later and inside my hole has kinda like this sharp ache if that makes sense. Is it supposed to hurt like that? Like it doesn't hurt terribly, but it's at least noticeable
Yeah it's supposed to hurt for a bit afterwards

  • I see someone else already posted the video educating people about how there's no such thing as 'popping the cherry (ie. hymen)' but I guess I'll comment and add that you should spend more time on foreplay and/or buy some lube as it sounds like you weren't adequately lubricated. Hence the burning-sensation, which would happen to any girl, regardless of whether it was their first few times having sex or if they'd been sexually active for years, if a guy shoved his dick inside when she was dry.

    • Yeah it's possible I wasn't wet enough. Like I was pretty wet but we were also kind of in a hurry because of the location and time and stuff

  • Nah, if you're relaxed, horny, lubricated and he's not being ridiculously forceful it's not that painful. Extreme pain during sex is often just a failed presence of what I listed.

When I first had sex it was more uncomfortable than really painful. There was a twinge or two as we got going but nothing traumatic. I didn't even really bleed.

  • Yes, it is normal for it to hurt - even to feel the pain for a day or so afterwards. It can even happen if you haven't had sex in a long time. I haven't had sex in a few years, and after a guy fingered me recently, I felt some pain for the next day or so. It went away, and everything was fine.

  • No, it is not supposed to hurt. Most women do not experience pain or bleeding because the hymen stretches. Watch the Laci Green video already posted and this:

  • obviously guys dont know what there talking about on the voteing and i voted too. i am not ashamed to say i watched that youtube video because i didn't think it was like that at all. but you learn new things everyday. might need a girls help for this one.

  • Every girl is different. Some feel pain, others not at all or just a light burning when the hymen is stretched. (it is not 'popped')

  • It varies for every woman. Often your cherry can get popped before you even have sex and you'll never know. I think mine must have popped sometime before having sex because I didn't feel anything and never bled.

  • Let's learn about the hymen

    • Thanks for posting. I honestly didn't know any of this. Now I feel a lot more educated for the next time I have sex.

    • @AUTiger7222 That's awesome! She has a lot of really good videos other than this one too

    • @BellePepper I most definitely will check them out. Thanks.

  • It's normal to experience a small amount of pain, but it can sometimes be avoided if you are fully aroused, properly lubricated, and stretching the vagina gradually in advance using fingers or toys.

  • You've never fingered yourself? The blood could be from him scratching you if his nails weren't cut. It would also explain the pain.

  • There would be some form of tissue rapture if he was diggin in it faster without any consideration for your sensitivity.

    • rupture

  • No, depending on the amount of pain, you might want to go see your doctor. It shouldn't be painful afterwards, just a little uncomfortable at first.

  • Yes, especially if the guy has a big dick.

    • Wow... Instructions for you: 1. Do not rape or push 2. Practise foreplay 3. Give it time 4. Be a nice lover After that you can call your self a real man.

    • @dvegef Hahaha calm down. It takes time to make a virgin girl comfortable with sex, and I know that. Losers rape girls.

    • I wanna know how she got rape from that... Like for virgins of course it's gonna take awhile to get her chill... Most of us have never even been naked in front of anyone, so it's like a big deal lol. Hard to relax even if we want xD

  • For some it does

  • I wouldn't know.

  • All three can be true.
A "cherry" does not "pop". It stretches and tears. Sometimes it has eroded away naturally or from athletics.

  • everyone says it hurt

  • I've had sex twice and I've bled and yes, it did hurt a lot.
