Is coarse dark pubic hair unattractive?

I'm 18 and have naturally olive skin and very dark hair. I'm white, but a lot of my family on my dad's side have the same complexion and hair as me too. But the thing is my mother is naturally fair skinned and has blonde/ginger body hair, and she told me her pubes are a golden colour and they're soft, kind of "fluffy".

She saw me getting in the bath earlier, and saw my pubic hair (she's my mother so I don't mind her seeing me naked), but she started being really mean and laughing at my pubes and saying they look horrible, like a man because they're dark, almost black, and they're course, rather than her supposed golden, fine hair.

This has made me feel really insecure about my pubes, because she also said "they look like your dad's, you must've turned after him for them". I never even thought they were that bad before, I don't exactly like them anyway because I don't think the "bush" look is that nice, but I don't always shave it completely bald when I have sex, so do men probably think I'm disgusting because of my pubes? I've never really had any men say anything about them, they all just seem to not care about the pubes themselves as long as they're kept short and neat.

Girl, I am getting very turned on just by reading your description of your pubic hair. Your mother is wrong with all due respect. I don't have a girlfriend right now and I worry that when I do, she will be one of those who trim it mostly off or shave it completely. There is nothing more beautiful and sexy than a natural big full bush down there on a woman. Why you might ask? Because its supposed to be that way. Its natures way if signaling us men that you are mature and ready for sex. It also helps transmit sexual pheromones to us which are intoxicating. Nature doesn't get these things wrong. It should be sexually appealing for any guy who is wired correctly in the brain and who is not influenced by the unnatural and unrealistic ideas brought on by porn and modern pop fashion. Some guys might also say that they like it "clean" down there on a girl implying that its somehow not sanatary. The exact opposite is true. Shaved and waxed makes it less sanitary. I would go down on a girl with a full bush 10,000 to 1. Nothing about your body and bush sounds disgusting and everything about it sounds wonderful and beautiful.

Yup mine are exactly the same. I also have olive skin as well xD To me my preference is just trimmed. I do enjoy having it there tho. The aroma is better I think as I have aged I've realized. So I say just trim it and you'll be great! But don't be insecure about them. They are yours not anyone elses. Don't listen to your mom.

I guess your mum had thought that you would have pubes like hers. I'm surprised she had not seen you before. It seems you have not seen her either? Your dad's genes have been dominant I guess and you have a dark forest like he does.

No need to worry about them... we are all different! Just choose a style that you like. Boys like all styles and love exploring... mmmmm

I think your mother was being mean and unsupportive. Even if she thought she was helping you, there are right ways and wrong ways to suggest improvements and changes, and it doesn't sound like she did this here.

My hair is pretty dark and coarse, and it doesn't bother my boyfriend at all, either for intercourse or even oral. So pay no attention to your mother.

I have a thick black bush when I'm single and can't be bothered shaving.

In my soccer team I would say 70% of the girls that don't shave have thick black hair down there when we shower after games.

In the many naked bits I have seen, a dark brown coarse hair is the most common. In fact, almost no one has anything but that unless they are VERY light blonde or ginger.

The only thing most men are going to find disgusting when they get down there is a bad smell or a penis. You said yourself that no one's ever said anything to you or seems to about it. Maybe a few rare guys will not like your pubes, but for every one of them, there will be anther who loves them. Personally, I absolutely adore darker hair and skin.

I think it's perfectly fine. It sounds like you're part Mediterranean, so the darker hair is generally thicker than light northern European hair. Thinner hair would naturally be fluffier. Don't be ashamed, there are millions of women with hair like yours

Not to me. Just look after the underbrush above your bush and beside it on your thighs. If it gets to looking wild and woolly, just crop it back a bit. Otherwise, I like it just fine, including for oral.

I think your Mom was mean and inconsiderate, and no don't worry about your pubic hair. Most guys don't like a full bush no matter the colour especially if they like to give oral and you like to receive it.
