I believe, I consider thong/panties and bra (and for us guys, boxers or briefs) improvised swimwear, as you don't all bring swimming stuff with ya. sometimes there a time you really want to swim and you don't have them.
While it is kinda hot, I won't hold it against ya or consider it slutty.
If I was your boyfriend and knew nothing happened, I'd just get a little chuckle and not care but wish I was there(swimming is fun!).
(also note they weren't made for it and may show a little more than your may be willing to show, but the guys better be mature about it)

I think that is too far. It is pushing your boyfriends comfort boundries a bit. But it really depends on what type of person he is, your relationship and what you think about it. Personally i think it is showing too much without him there. I would be really pissed if my wife did that.
Well its not really slutty because underwear shows pretty much just as much skin as a bathing suit and if you really wanted to swim there is no harm in that. The boyfriend thing... it all depends on if he is trusting or the jealous type. I have a friend and her boyfriend gets mad at her when she even smiles at one of her guy friends. It all depends on how trusting he is.
They will prob think a little of both. Your boyfriend will not be happy that you wear swimming in your underwear, so be ready for that. I've gone for a late night dip before in my underwear, but I wouldn't do it if I had a boyfriend.
This probably wasn't the best decision considering you have a boyfriend. If you wouldn't do if he was with you then you probably shouldn't do it with him not there.

Life's too short to worry about these sorts of things. If everyone was in their underwear, then "no one was in their underwear", especially if it didn't go beyond swimming, (and you know what I mean).
Now where your boyfriend is concerned, if he seems upset about it, make sure you're willing to repeat if for him.
I think we've all gone for a swim in our undies with our girls right? I think it's just something us girls have to do from time to time! And yes the states and the wet bra that we have to wear for dinner afterwards is a bit awkward. But it's all normal and part of the fun of it! I don't think anyone will think poorly of you.
