What are the odds of getting pregnant from precum?

So let me start this off by saying I have incredibly bad anxiety, and im asking to put my mind at ease. Im afraid to be intimate with someone but my boyfriend and I have been working on that the past few months and we have been taking it very very slow. I have now gotten to the point where he can rub his penis on my clit and I dont have a panic attack in the moment. I remember hearing when i was maybe 15 that there are traces of sperm in precum and you can get pregnant. My boyfriend keeps assuring me that you need to actually have to have sex and the cum has to get in there for any chances. I still seem to have this fear that ill get pregnant from a little fun. Now i am on birth control for other reasons and i do miss pills sometimes as everyone does. I guess i just need a little reassurance that what im doing won't lead to pregnancy. I had trauma when i was a kid so I've come quite a ways and i dont want to take a step backwards.

  • Precum may contain trace amounts of semen. It is there to rinse a man's urethra from leftover urine and sperm. In order for precum to get you pregnant, you'd have to have a fertile egg present (it would have to be approximately 2 weeks after your period and your contraceptive pill must have failed, which has a 1% chance of happening). Secondly, the precum would have to contain live sperm. Sperm cannot live long in the urethra. I'd say about a day or so. If his last orgasm before you were intimate with your boyfriend was longer than that, the chances of there being live semen in his urethra (and thereby possibly in his precum) become astronomically small. If he peed in between these two events, there will also be next to no sperm remaining.
    Lastly, the sperm from the precum, would have had to travel from your clitoris all the way up to your fallopian tubes and fertilize the egg. Now, sperm is designed to travel from the cervix up to the fallopian tubes, but the couple of inches from your clitoris to your cervix are miles if you're one ten thousandth of an inch big. That is, stated that they actually swim in the right direction. Imagine getting dropped in the middle of the atlantic ocean without a compass, and having to swim to the coast of florida.
    I'd say you're safe. And if you do happen to get pregnant by some magical coincidence, you'll know that your child will have been the strongest sperm there ever was and could probably beat chuck norris and bruce lee simultaneously

  • I find it nearly impossible. Sth like 0,000000000001% chance. To get pregnant the cum needs to be "shot" into it womb with pressure. And even then it's not 100% sure. Further more we live in an era of a lot more unhealthy lifestyle. In matters of drinking, smoking, staying up late and on and on... these stuff affect the chance of getting pregnant.. it is getting harder..

    To add up I had a 4y long relationship in which the only anti pregnancy method we used was the pull out method... Not that I am advising on that but u can imagine how much precum went into my ex, and gladly I am not a father, at the age of 20

  • If you sometimes miss taking your birth control pills then maybe try the kind where you get an injection every three months instead. For maximum protection also have him wear a condom. Or do oral sex and cum swallowing instead. You cannot get pregnant that way. :)

  • If the guy purged his tubes by peeing since his last ejaculation, zero. Precum only contains sperm if it picks up leftover sperm from a previous ejaculation. If he has urinated (which purges everything), you're good to go. If he hasn't urinated, no idea about the chance, but it ain't zero, and anything higher than zero is a no go to me :)

  • To be 100% sure you're best not to do that if he's got precum. While chances are slim, it's not impossible. If any of that precum gets inside you, there's a chance. And rubbing it on your vagina, it's possible. If I were him, I would be concerned about you getting pregnant. I know it's not as likely, but possible.
