For guys who look at Maxim or Playboy and have a girlfriend?

Okay now I do NOT mind my guy looking at p*rn, because well...we live in two different counties and I do not get to see him daily (also my car doesn't work so that's another reason)...so I don't mind him looking at p*rn. I actually saw he searches for girls who look like me...i guess that's cool. Now here's the thing, he signed up for a free year subscription for Maxim...(he used to buy it before we met...but ended up throwing them out). I guess this kind of bugs me...I would LOVE too look like the girls in that magazine but I don't...I'm 5'1 and have curves, more than I want. I do have size D boobs, and they are full but nothing compared to the fake expensive ones in maxim. The girls are so thin and so tall...and exotic looking with big lips...I'm Portuguese but am so pale that I look white, and have tiny thin lips. now...guys when you look at maxim or playboy and have a gf...do you compare your girl to these models? or do you wish deep down inside that your girl looked like them? or that you would wish you could land a girl that pretty instead of your plain-Jane girl? I just feel like now since he is looking at these mags of super perfect women...he will start wondering why I don't look that way and think I don't care enough about making him happy to look that good for him. lemme know your thoughts guys...and also...most men say they like the articles in the mags...is that true? or do you guys just like to beat off to perfect girls? lol thanks =)

Maxim girls generally arn't my ideal, maybe to some guys because the corperation itself has a particular target audience to sell the product to but to me, no!. you have to understand that magazines like this are aimed at specific groups of guys, yes the guys that read maxim most likely do find the portrayed images of women inside them as the most attractive but guys that don't read it are most likely to not have that same opinion but than again some guys may just like to read it based on everything else what's inside...

Before you make out that their is a perfect ideal women, that's untrue...its impossible to be perfect, one guy might find you highly attractive but to another they may just not have the same opinion. It realyl does depend on the guy, for the most part I feel in general guys that do have a very strict taste in women generally are more acceptable and realistic when it comes to real life. curves are not bad features, fake boobs are! anything fake is a turn off but saying that it does depend on the guy, I'm sure some guys do like the barbie doll appearence. Id never compare anyone to a girl I was with, I mean I may be odd but as time goes on it simply seems like the girl your with becomes the msot attractive so anythign else is second. I'm sure your not being compared, he is most likely realistic and probably just likes a little eye candy every now and than. oh yeah portuguese women generally are white but that shouldn't even matter

I tnink you have a big misconception. Maxim isn't p*rn.

no really. its not. not even close.

Maxim has movie stars in it and the pictures are actually very tasteful and very often are *very* clothed. Even when their not extremely clothed its rare for a picture to be more than PG-13 rated. Its just girls in bathing suits, at its worst. And even in worst case scenarios, these are 6/7 photos int he middle of a gigantic interview of the actress on her current roles, her life story, and funny quips by her. Its actually a very respectful magazine to be in (admittedly, its not prudish either, but it strikes a balance)

Plus the magazine is about 15% women and 85% about cars, alcohol, technology, movies, pop culture, 'guy stuff' and comedic stories. Its a magazine for all things that appeal to guys and trust me when I say that women make up a very small number of the total pages, despite some hot actress always being on the cover.

I would not be worried in the least about him reading maxim. I had a subscription and I can tell you that I truly did get it for the articles. If I want p*rn, I'll go to the internet. I buy maxim every time I see it because the writing and articles are so good. and not the ones about the girls. I mean the ones about pop culture, cars, tools and electronics.

Ravvvo is correct. Maxim is not "fap" material.

That said.. I never compare my girlfriend to such a woman. It just doesn't do anything productive.

On top of this.. he has you. (You happen to look quite gorgeous in my humble opinion.)

Don't worry about it. Even if he where to compare, the real thing wins out every time. :D

The fact is yeah, guys probably do wish their girl looked like some of the women in Maxim. But really, that's a given. They represent the perfect "ideal" that we all wish we could have but recognize we won't.

If he starts wondering why you don't look that way, he's a tard. If you looked that way, you'd probably be on the pages he's looking at. Very few women look that way. To expect your girlfriend to is being wildly unrealistic.

It basically comes down to this: Guys like looking at eye candy. Whether it's p*rn, Maxim, a hot actress in a movie, the random girl walking by... whatever. Generally, none of it ever has an effect on how they feel about their girl or their relationship.
