Girls: Are you uncomfortable with having a finger inside you?

I am so confused by this! My girlfriend likes sex and all that blah blah blah, but she HATES it when I put a finger inside her. Yeah, I'm being gentle, slow, lubricating, etc, and she likes 69 so I'm down there a LOT, but she says it feels uncomfortable when I put my finger in there! What gives?! How many other girls are like this...and WHY!? I ask her and she won't give me a straight answer. I totally respect her boundaries and NEVER pressure her... Since my penis is bigger than my finger (fill in your joke about my penis here), then I figure my penis makes her feel uncomfortable, too...This makes me feel VERY confused and, quite frankly, pathetically sad.

Like Evangelina214 said, it feels much more personal than a penis. Having a penis in there just isn't as personal because you're just thrusting. With a finger, you often take your time and feel around, and think about it, a finger is something you use in everyday life for so many things. A penis is pretty much meant for sex and for vaginal penetration. I don't know how else I can explain it, but it's pretty much it.

I know that when my boyfriend fingers me, it feels much more personal. The first couple times I've ever been fingered, I was slightly uncomfortable at first, but I tell myself to let go and enjoy, and once I do, it's amazing.

I think many guys don't really know how to finger a girl properly. It's quite common for them to do it too roughly, even when they're trying to do it gently, or to touch the wrong parts, which hurts. Ask her to teach you how she does it.

A penis just goes straight in, a finger bends and can therefore touch you in a way that's painful.
