Can a guy still love a non-virgin girl?

I had been wondering about this lately, is it possible for a guy (virgin or not, doesn't matter) to love a girl who isn't a virgin? Not a slut, or someone who sleeps around, but someone who was fooled into making a bad decision once? I had sex with someone (an abusive boyfriend who told me he would leave if I didn't) a long time ago, and I'm worried that now there may be no hope for me to find anyone who will love me or care about me. Am I wrong to feel this way, or is it true that guys can't love girls who aren't virgins?

It's not true. We can love a girl that isn't still a virgin. I've only ever dated two girls that were virgins before I got to them. I didn't really care if a girl was a virgin or not. It's not important. I'm not sure where you're getting this, or what made you think all us guys have such a harsh mentality. It's not like that. I'm thinking whoever has been filling your head with this kind of stuff, is burned, jaded and bordering on misandry. ( link ) There might be a few guys that fit this kind of asinine behavior but they're not as common as you might think. and if they're that immature, you're better off without him.

But back to the original point in all of this. No, it's not true and you are indeed wrong to think like this. Just because a person is or is not a virgin, doesn't mean anything good or bad one way or another. You're still the same person no matter what, and anybody with even half a brain in their head will know this. So what if you've had sex before? It doesn't make you a slut. It doesn't make you damaged goods. It doesn't mean you're second hand, or somebody else's sloppy seconds. it just means you're not a virgin anymore. No big deal.

I've been in love with three girls in my life (obviously each at a different time), and I know that two of them were not virgins, the other one I didn't know one way or another, because I never bothered to ask. To keep it simple,It never worked out with the first one, and as for the other two girls? Well I was engaged to one, and the other, (the one I'm currently dating)I've been dating for three and a half years and I honestly can see myself spending the rest of my life with her. I love her with all my heart. Kinda shows you what's what right?

Despite Funkadelic5's incredibly poor taste in humor, I'm sure you're probably getting the point from me and everyone else answering you. And he's right. I can't believe you actually have such a low opinion of guys. Whether you're aware of it or not, it's actually pretty sexist. I seriously hope when you start dating a guy you won't let him know you have such a foul attitude about men. Because if he knew that might ruin things for your relationship and you'll be an even worse mood. Heck, it's probably better you drop the attitude entirely or it could prove toxic to your relationship either way. OK?

Don't be naive, please know a lot of men don't love virgins either, and will still take it and leave or cheat. I am 30 and nothing these men say on here reflect real life. I am single because men don't know how to treat me, but no matter who the guy is and his upbringing they never let my past or whatever you may call it get in the way of trying to settle with me. No girl is a whore and non a saint that is something else I learned from the same innocent girls who will do anything to get more attention than another girl. not everything is about virginity, a lot of guys date girls who aren't virgins anymore, my boyfriend loves me and I wasn't a virgin when I started dated him.. and he was. I think some guys enjoy girls being virgin, but not all of them mind the slightest bit. But you will find someone who loves and cares about you.. so relax :D

It really depends on the culture you live in. In western cultures, it's perfectly acceptable to have multiple sexual partners before finding a mate. In eastern cultures, this may be a little more taboo.

Anyone can love someone else regardless of their past but in a conservative area, this may be a little more difficult.

A guy can have sex with a non-virgin, but will never really make love when other guys have been in her and had access to her body and mind. Images of others in a girl never go away; so sex is easy, but loving will never happen.
