Guys and girls. Why is pubic hair considered "gross"?

Not many years ago, few women shaved or even groomed except for bikini bathing suits. Why should a clean, groomed (around the edges) "rug" be bad? Many girls, particularly some Asians, are thickly forested all the way around to their butt crease with thick, black wavy hair. I think it is a turn-on and enjoy nuzzling and playing with it and even the tickling in s3x and oral. Am I the only one left who likes a full bush? In this way, I am definitely a bush supporter.

I do not remove all of it. For me I will shave my vagi lips, and bikini line and trim the rest. Next guy who looks at mine, turns and runs away will be the very first. Have had a couple bf's try and get me to shave it all but this is the way it is and if you have a problem with it, I'll show you the door!

I do love these teenie boppers who say how unclean the hair is and disgusting it is! They think we grow it just for lack of things to do. Everything on our bodies has a purpose and it would take a complete moron not to realize that.

I agree for the most part. Although I do trim (and I like that my boyfriend does as well), I have never removed ALL my hair and I think the trend is sort of odd. While I understand how it might make oral sex easier, it's always possible to hold the hair out of the way. I think it's ridiculous for something natural to be perceived as gross. Pubic hair should be attractive because it's a sign of adulthood. I'm all for trimming but I hate feeling like people expect me to remove everything. What should be natural and common has become weird.

everyone is different. I don't mind going down on girls who are neatly trimmed but id rather it be shaven or waxed. I think its hot when guys trim or shave down there too.

Oh the reason why? has a lot to do with these beauty standards for women that are unnatural and kind of sexist. men started perpetuating the idea that feminine = no hair on certain body parts. shaved legs, shaved pubes, shaved pits, etc. men get to be hairy if they want to though and hair is seen as masculine. its ridiculous but that's the reality of our world, especially the western world. these are archetypes of feminine vs. masculine beauty that we are trained to follow.

Personally, I'm not against pubic hair. Sometimes I prefer it, sometimes I don't. Differs according to a lot of factors:

--> Her physical appearance

--> Her personality

--> Her preference (Whether she prefers to shave/wax/trim her pubic hair or not)

--> My mood

--> etc. etc. etc.

I shave the lips but leave a strip on top, mainly because my man likes it clean shaven. I don't really have a preferance though!

I also don't like to have a full bush (especially that I have asian roots)

so I prefer to trim it,

I know it may seem that way, but one of the reasons why the hair is there in the first place is the help keep it clean. And if you wash regularly the hair really doesn't affect cleanliness.
