Since it's an allowed move, you know that there's a chance that you might get kicked or kneed in that area. None of us can know for sure whether or not the girl you fight would use that move or not. So basically, how okay are you with that risk? If you're not okay with risking it, then wear the cup.
1 1 0 1Yeah, it's the risk factor I have to weigh up... On one hand I want to feel comfy and agile for the fight, but on the other hand it risks the girl kicking or kneeing me as hard as she can, which would obviously be a devastating and agonizing winning strike... Thanks for your reply... :o)
Well I opted not to wear the cup, but I should have! I was competing against a girl in the final and going into the very last round I was winning on points, but I was so tired I ended up stood with my legs wide open, so she ran up and kicked me in the balls as hard as she could, right in front of my girlfriend sitting in the front row, which left me rolling around on the floor screaming in agony! Tell me Would you have done the same as her and would you have felt any guilt or concern for me?
Hi... Within the last 24 hours I've had problems accessing my account, so if you've tried replying to the questions in my last comment and not been able to, that may be why?... Otherwise, I hope to hear back from you and would really appreaciate your thoughts... Thanks!... :o)
If it's an allowed move in a competitive situation, it's probably a good idea to protect yourself.
And if you're that new jersey guy... if you are I don't even know what to say to you actually.0 0 0 0I am not the 'New Jersey' guy. I am from the UK and don't even understand the guys comment below... lol Thanks for your reply though... :o)
Alright well I hope that's true :) you're welcome

wear the cup.
unless you're doing grappling, where there is no kicking, wear the darn cup.
why the heck are you asking girls about this anyway?1 0 0 1I am asking girls to try and get a perspective on whether a girl is likely to use a move like that... to help me decide whether or not to wear the cup. Thanks for your reply... :o)
Personally, I wouldn't intentionally use a move like that, but I've accidentally kicked some guys there more than once. (ex: I was bent over the back of a couch and a guy tickled me from behind and as a reflex, I kicked.)
Yeah, I like to think that a girl wouldn't choose to use a move like that, and I'm more comfy not wearing the cup. But there's always the risk that she could kick or knee me in the balls given the chance. So I need to weigh up feeling comfy & agile in the fight against the chance of being kicked or kneed in the balls, possibly as hard as she could, which would leave me in absolute agony! Thanks again though... :o)

If the fight is close, then fight how you usually fight; competition is no time for innovation.
If you think you have enough time to get use to the cup, then introduce it, but if you wouldn't wear it for a dude, then I don't see using it just because your opponent's a girl.0 0 0 0wear it. no doubt in my mind. I've trained in a martial art for 8 years and been in countless tournaments where my cups been hit (ours are compulsory). bearing in mind all our kicks have to above the belt of course. accidents happen and that's a place you don't want no accidents

1 2Hmmmmmm, this competion wouldn't be taking place in New Jersey, would it?
Any wagering going on regarding the likelihood of any girls over the age of 18 landing a kick in that particular area?4 3 0 0if she is allowed to kick or knee you, she probably will so I would say wear the cup

im not one to fight, so I would never have even entered a fight like that in the first place. but if I ever had to defend myself, I would feel no remorse in doing something like this to an attacker. and since this is a girl who does enjoy fighting, I would say that she probably didn't feel bad, because she doesn't mind hitting you anywhere else. why would hitting you in the balls make her feel bad, but hitting you in the face wouldn't?
i would advise wearing a cup so you won't get a hard on lol
