The trick to go see a movie that's not that popular or has been out for a long time, therefore it will be a lot less people inside the movie. & typically, ushers walk in & out of movies that are very popular or just came out to keep the noise level down from teenagers, etc. (This is if you're at a movie theater with a lot of screens, not just one or two) Ushers typically don't go into the movies that are not as popular, & less people means less chance of a complaint.

Also, lay in his lap with a coat or something over you. & sit in the back row corner, & try to make sure no one is in the row or behind you. & try to be as quiet as possible.

There's still no guarantee that you won't get caught though.

I've done this before and I have been caught.

The chances probably depend on how busy the theatre is, where in the theatre you're doing it/where people are located around you, how much the staff pays attention, how discrete you are, etc.

When I was caught, the staff just told us that they knew what we were doing and that we could either stay and WATCH the movie, or we could leave. That said, if they wanted to, they could have called the police because it is illegal.

Well if it's noisy people will complain, better not go to anything but an 18, and almost all cinemas are now equipped with night vision equipment (anti piracy) so go for it if you wanna get barred or your sexual endeavors recorded :)

If an usher catches you, you could definitely be kicked out of the movie theater and possibly have the authorities called on you. My advice would be to sit away from people and be discreet as possible, although I don't see how possible that is.
