Lol, when it happens it depends on if I'm standing or sitting down.
If I'm just standing in one spot, I might decide to either point it upwards and use the waistband trick or I might just try to move whatever jacket/coat I am over through placing my hands in my pocket and moving it in front.
If I know I have to walk than I'm pointing that bit*h up, hopefully its not windy enough for my shirt to fly up when I'm not aware and no one lifts the shirt up lol
If I'm sitting down, ill just adjust to make it comfertable and won't stand up until I'm ready.

Three techniques;
1) waistband tuck
2) cover it with a tactically placed jacket hung over crossed arms at your torso
3) find the nearest seat possible and hope for the best
4) Shove your hands in your pockets and hope to god nobody wants a hug or a handshake.

Sit down. Cross your legs. And put whatever you have with you (f.ex. backpack) on top of it to hide the rest. And then simply wait until it's gone... worked for me; no-one except myself ever noticed, I think (but I still got quite annoyed when it happened).
Currently I'm at the beginning of my 2nd year on HRT and that kind of problem is not gone, but at least it occurs much less frequent then before... however, I wouldn't recommend the usage of anti-androgens to any guy happy with his birth sex ;-)
Guys tend to wear baggy pants. And young guys' erections are at such an acute angle that they're almost flush with their lower abdomen - so it could easily be concealed under their pants.
its not only that they do it. Every guy knows the "tuck it under your belt" trick...I haven't read the answers below but I'd bet money that every guy has said it.
Guys also will just stay seated when they have one, and hope that it goes away.
And lastly, you could always put something in front of it, like a coat or book. Unless you are the ballsiest (no pun intended) guy in the world, then you could just let it fly with a big smile on your face :)

I mentally make it invisible. Nah, it's just like trying to hide candy going into the movie theaters, it's really not that hard, but when you do get caught, your in for major embarrassment.

I hook mine under the wasteband of my pants beneath my shirt. Once it actually peeked out where my button shirt had separated at the wasteband. Nobody saw it and I made a quick adjustment.

We don't hide them really. If you look really close you would probably notice something. The jeans are what kind of hide them because they are thick. The erection goes down or to the side of the leg because it can't go straight out because of the boxers and the jeans. Also we don't get erections as often as you think and more so when we're teenagers going through puberty. ha ha.
