Is it a compliment what a guy says he doesn't want to "corrupt" me?

I've liked this guy for 2 years even though he has slept with a lot of women and he can be a jerk at times. However, he is never a jerk with me and he does the kindest things for me at work, which he never does for anyone else, guy or girl. We're friends now and I attempted to take it a step further, but he says that he doesn't want to "corrupt" me. I'm a virgin by choice and a very nice Christian 21 year old. We're still friends, but what do I do now? And what I can do for him to show that I respect what he says, but that I still very much care for him? I still want to be his friend and hopefully not annoy him (which is my biggest fear if I want to text him or something)

  • Oh honey, listen to what he says. He doesn't want to "corrupt" you, which means he will do exactly just that.

You say that you want to be his "friend", but ultimately you are turned on by his "bad boy" exterior and it's working. It worked on me when I was your age.

Talk to him if you want, but you have to be really honest with yourself about what kind of guy this is. You probably think he treats you differently because he likes you, but he knows you are a virgin and has to use a different approach on you. I personally don't trust him and I don't even know the guy.

  • basically he's saying he f***s tons of girls and corrupts their worlds. like a dog..

    • Yes...he has. I really need to get over this guy.

  • It's not a compliment but an insult; it's for you to decide how much corruption you need, not him.

You should tell him this, preferably while getting naked, so he doesn't miss the point.

    • Hahaha, wow. Well here's another deal: The people that attend college with me want to "corrupt" me and the people back home want me to stay the way I am. It was nice to hear a guy tell me that he doesn't want to corrupt me and as lame as it sounds I'm the type of girl that would rather have a friendship first and a relationship later. But thanks for the advice and I will keep that in mind if he mentions "corruption" again.
