Guys why are you scared/grossed out by periods?

ok so how many guys are scared by the subject of periods and it might just be cause I'm in high school and today in class for some reason it came up guys were asking questions and I was answering them well the once I knew. I mean yea I get it its not nice to see it but its natural its not like we want to have them. So what exactly don't you like about them? And are you comfterble talking about it with females? Would you go out and buy pads/tampons for your girlfriend/mom/girl friends why or why not? And kinda random but if you took health when you wear in junior high/high school did you learn about the female and male body system? Cause my friends though that girls only had 2 holes down their when theirs 3 guys have 2 and when I told them they were shoked by my answer. Are you ever curious about them and wonder how girls use pads or tampons and how the pads and tampons looks like? And last would you have sex with a girl who was on her period? I know its kinda long but I whant to know how guys think when it comes up to periods and your reactions to it and if guys ever grow up and not act like kids whe and it comes up

  • > So what exactly don't you like about them?

    They don't really bother me.

    > And are you comfterble talking about it with females?

I can't say the subject comes up often in ordinary conversation, but I suppose I would be. I'm not easily grossed out.

    > Would you go out and buy pads/tampons for your girlfriend/mom/girl friends why or why not?

Perhaps in an 'oh-my-god-I've-accidentally-ran-out-of-pads/tampons-and-am-bleeding-like-a-pint-an-hour-I-can't-go-out-like-this!'-emergency, but otherwise they can buy their own damn stuff, I'm not asking them to buy shaving razors for me either, am I? :D

    > And kinda random but if you took health when you wear in junior high/high school did you learn about the female and male body system?

If I recall correctly it was covered during biology, including the menstrual cycle and all the boring hormones involved.

    > Cause my friends though that girls only had 2 holes down their when theirs 3 guys have 2 and when I told them they were shoked by my answer.

Lol what? Well I suppose it's an easy mistake to make for someone who has no knowledge of anatomy whatsoever...

    > Are you ever curious about them and wonder how girls use pads or tampons and how the pads and tampons looks like?

It's not exactly one of the things that I consider the big questions in life, lol. I've seen both objects, although they were not and had not been in use at the time. I suppose if I ever am in a situation where my girlfriend is using one of those, I'll take the opportunity to see it 'in action', but other than that it's not something that's on my mind.

    > And last would you have sex with a girl who was on her period?

Can't say I've ever done that, I guess I'd be willing to give it a try if the opportunity presented itself.

    > I know its kinda long but I whant to know how guys think when it comes up to periods and your reactions to it and if guys ever grow up and not act like kids whe and it comes up

No problem, it was a nice change to all the 'does he like me' questions :p

Most guys will learn to be more mature about this subject, probably in their late teens, although a few will manage to be grossed out about it for a lifetime.

  • I don't know about other guys but I'm not. Periods are just a natural bodily function, it's nothing to get freaked out over. I'm comfortable with it and I'm comfortable talking to a woman about her period (if she wants to). I've never done it but I'd like to think that if I had a girlfriend I'd be fine with buying tampons for her.

I've never had the chance to fool around with a girl on her period but I've seen pictures and videos of it and it didn't turn me off by any means. If I had the chance, yes I would have sex or fool around with a girl when she's on her period.

I know sex-ed started in the 5th grade for us but I don't remember the subject matter much. I remember they sometimes separated the girls from the boys though and most of it was intended to address our own developing bodies and not those of the opposite sex. It's not that we didn't learn about the opposite sex at all but they didn't really go into detail about.

Most of what I know about the female (and male) reproductive system I've taught myself. I find it an interesting subject so I've gathered a good deal of knowledge about it. Female sexuality is a passion of mine and I want to learn everything I can about. To me it's a sacred and beautiful thing and I love it.

  • Haha, I could definitely understand how an uniformed boy would find a period gross... bleeding from your vagina for a week? What?! And you can't even stop it?!

But I bet most are just scared of it because their girlfriends turn into psycho, unpredictable, cramping, irritable, complaining, weird-craving witches.

Not saying we all do... but the possibility of it is enough for any guy to want to leave the room.

  • I'm pretty sure guys are just grossed out by the fact that we can bleed THAT much, out of our vag's, for a week on average. Also, they don't have blood coming out of their d***s.. So that kind of makes it understandable.

Think if we didn't have periods.. And guys did (LOL, work with me here).

I know I'd be grossed out just thinking about that.

  • Hey, periods are completely natural and not to be feared by guys. Why make a big deal out of it?

    >And last would you have sex with a girl who was on her period?

Sure, many times. Just make sure you have a couple of towels available and a place to shower afterwords. I find that my partners are super turned on when we fcuk during their periods.

  • heres my e mail x id love to chat with you as per my response yesterday x its apc.pamroberts@yahoo.com x let me prove to you how special I find periods and convince you how sexy they are x

  • i would do sex with you vaginally on your period. I'd also change your pads and tampons for you and buy them for you. I'd go down on you too. no girl/lady should ever be made to feel she must padlock her panties for 5 days a month for the 30+ years she will menstruate. I'd also like to chat to you about periods in as much detail as you will allow please. if you feel sensitive down by your vagina on your period I will make you orgasm.

    • I am very open about my period and when I'm on it to all my friends and its the guys who obviesly can't hadle to talk girls go through it so we know how it works but guys just hearing the word pad or tampon freak

  • If it's my girlfriend I'm cool with it but I hated how girls in high school would talk about their period like it's the weather. I don't wanna hear your personal stuff. You don't see me discussing my masturbation to anyone right.

Freshman year of high school, these 4 girls just started discussing it and I'm in their group. Like WTF

  • I don't see how a guy would be embarrassed about getting his girlfriend tampons. It's not like they're for him!

All those guys you're talking about are in high school and immature.

  • I’m not, I’ll talk to anyone about periods. I love period sex. I have a lot of knowledge about them and have no problem talking to anyone about them. There’s nothing to be scared of or grossed out about them. They are natural bodily function.

  • I'm in my mid twenties and I'm still grossed out by periods. I think it's natural and there should be nothing wrong with it. Whenever a girl brings it up, I still get grossed out because it's basically blood coming out of a very sensitive part of a person. I relate it to something getting hurt and don't even perform oral sex because of this. It's weird and I think it's not a very big problem, just among a few guys.

  • If guys are scared or grossed out, it sounds like they are immature. Guys should not be surprised by when it comes up in a relationship -- grow up already.

I don't know why girls are embarrassed about periods because guys know that healthy girls and women have them. And I have no idea why the girl you are dating won't tell you when she has her period (yes, this happened to me -- she said it was none of my business). I would rather my partner come right out and tell me -- without being gross.

There are couples who are totally fine with period sex. It's not really that big of a deal.

I have gone to get tampons and pads for my partner when she needed it, and it's no big deal.(tell me EXACTLY what you want me to buy). I never did that for my mom or my sister, but it's not an issue if she asked (since it's never happened, it would be unusual). One time I took my girlfriend to the store to get tampons when she was staying over and it started (we didn't realize it until after we had sex and made a little mess).

    • just last night me and my fiancee had a conc=verstaion about period,..i asked him what if one day I run out of pads and I'm in my period...would he buy me pads...and he said no,..he said he don't want to looke stupid... he said that's the most thing he hate to do.. I get dissapointed ..and hurts...and worried that what if one day it happen to me and no one can help me to get em for me.

    • I have bought them a few times, and it's nothing to be embarrassed about. No clerk thinks you are buying them for yourself.
