Girls do you realize how powerful testosterone is?

I think a lot of the things that guys do can be attributed to their high levels of testosterone. I even took a testosterone shot one time and whoa! lol. I saw a girl on television take it too and she said it definitely made her feel more sexually aroused. It just makes you feel so aggressive and horny. I know girls have small amounts of it too but nowhere near the levels that guys do. So girls do you know about testosterone? Are you aware of what it does to a guy? Just wondering, because I here girls asking sometimes why guys are so horny and or aggressive. lol.

  • According to a small research, males that have high testosterone in their blood can be spotted in a group.

The test was simple: 540 women were informed about the functions and side-effects of testosterone, and were asked to identify the male with the highest testosterone levels in a group of 10 males.

54% of them identified the male with the highest testosterone level.

32% of them identified the male with wither the 2nd or the 3rd highest testosterone level.

The remaining 14% of them were totally off the track.

Of course, you can talk about how people act differently when they're observed and may be that affected the results. However, I'll go with the data.

There you have it, ladies and genetlemen! 54% accuracy!

This might be why some girls fall for the jerks: They detect the high levels of agression and energy, coming from the high concentration of testosterone. (Note: This is just a guess, not a fact.)

  • It's definitely underrated as a causative. I usually have naturally high levels of it, and even though I'm as patient and nice as guys get, moreso in real life than here, in fact, even I can feel like a coiled snake at times. Not as in snapping or starting fights, but just a tense feeling of antagonism and competition.

  • In addition to what Toulouse said (I beliee there have been studies done which suggest that a smaller occipitofrontal to amygdala ratio plays a role in why men tend to have less emotional self control than women, or are more aggressive- it has to do with emotion inhibition), I think a lot of girls forget that just, like we have estrogen and progesterone that f*** us up (though arguably in very different ways), guys have testosterone. A friend of mine was pregnant, unaware of what sex the baby was, though her husband knew and told me it was a boy. She complained of being more aggressive and horny- so I could see how much testosterone affects guys.

    • Yes, you're right it does make you more aggressive and horny. Men are less emotional than women too. You could also argue that women have less control over certain emotions like depression. A lot of them get sad too easily and breakdown more frequently and dramtically.

    • ummm not exactly. its way more complex than that. and I have brothers. men are just as emotional as women, if not more so sometimes. society may tell them they have to hide it, but that doesn't mean the emotions aren't there. and it could be argued that taking a masculine viewpoint on the issue is what makes women seem more emotional- if we took a feminine starting point, it could just as easily be said that men are too insensitive and unempathetic.

    • I have sisters too, what's your point? Women are more emotional than men are, plain and simple. Of course there are always exceptions. I'm speaking generally. Everyone knows that. It's not as complex as you think. I'm majoring in psychology and that is what prompted me to ask the question. Also, if males hide it better that only proves my point that they have more control of those emotions. Yes, that is why men are more insensitive and unempathetic because they are less emotional.

  • Why don't you DESCRIBE the experience- instead of asking us if we know about how strong the effects of something you are saying we don't know about because we don't have it happening to us?

I'm curious to know about your experience..

Also feelings & actions are not the same. You can FELL aggressive & not act on it. Just like you can feel sad without crying to every person you meet. Called self control. If you have personal ethics then that gives you a standard to gage how to behave outside of how you 'feel'. I could sympathize with how someone feels without condoning inappropriate behavior. The way Rape os not legal, same concept.

    • I did decribe the experience. It makes you agressive and horny. You're putting words in my mouth. I never said that you don't know about it, I'm asking you if you do, as in a question. Of course feelings and actions aren't the same. Who said that they were? I'm talking about the way it makes you feel. I just makes you feel that way I'm not saying that you have to act on it.. Guys can exercise self control, I do. I'm not talking about rape, or condoning anything.

    • I do have ethics as well. My point was that testosterone is a very powerful hormone that influences the way that guys think and act. I have and never would hurt anyone.

    • "I'm asking you if you do" & I was asking you to explain more extensively as I was interested in what you were talking about. ex. I don't know if you mean aggressive is sexual or general I think a lot of the things that guys do can be attributed to their high levels of testosterone" ACTING aggressive is not a feeling. I didn't say you don't have ethics. I just said to the general public, if you do you won't have a problem (controlling your emotions appropriately)- , unless you have a problem.

  • What do you mean you took a testosterone shot?

    • Injeceted testosterone

    • For what reason?

  • > I know girls have small amounts of it too but nowhere near the levels that guys do

Completely irrelevant, women are more sensitive to testosterone. You can't just go round saying 'we have more so you guys don't know what it's like'.

    • this is true -why'd you get a thumbs down , idk..

    • It seems question asker wishes not to be responsible for his actions and wants instead to make women think he is but a slave to the raging torrent of testosterone that is running through his veins. Those who disagree (whiny voice)'Don't understaaaaaand!"(/whiny voice). It's kinda sad really :p

    • No, it is very relevant. More testosterone does have more of an effect on you. Women are not more sensitive to it either, it obviously has less of the same effect on them. Just common sense. Women are less aggressive than men are and that is why. Testosterone=aggression. Just like we don't really feel the full effefts of estrogen. Also, I never said that they don't know what it's like. I'm asking them If they know what it does. That was the question meant for girls to answer.

  • Them bitches better know hehehe

  • I run 300 mg / week while going to the gym for strength training and conditioning and 50 mg / week when off.

It makes me incredibly sexual. In fact it's hard to think about anything else. My husband actually tied me up for 1/2 a Saturday because I wouldn't stop pestering him (and I could not help it).

Other than my clit enlarging (which is good-- mine was so small to begin with) to a more normal size, I have not had any negative side effects. Perhaps on my 16 week cycle, a tad bit faster hair growth. Otherwise, I feel, and look amazing.

T directly dictates sex drive and sexual thoughts. I swear I never saw anything like it. It can be debilitating at times (seriously -- no joke -- you have no idea how horny 24/7 you are).
