I am the only virgin out of all of my friends. It seems like all the guys I meet are freaked out by the fact that I am a virgin. In high school, I didn't want to have sex because I was hoping to meet a nicer, older guy when I graduated. I knew that all the boys in high school were idiots and they would only end up hurting me, so I just told myself I was gonna wait til college... Then I got to college, and I had started seeing many more guys. they all ended up being douches. When I was still a freshman I almost lost my virginity to a guy I was pretty much in love with. (It was "just the tip", and even though it hurt me like a bitch and I almost consider it to be my first time, he said it didn't count.) He cheated on me 2 days later. And now I am 19, and going to be 20 in two weeks and still a virgin. All the guys I had tried to date just didn't work out for one reason or another. All of the flings lasted about a month, so I hadn't had anything serious. I am really insecure about being a 20 year old "half-virgin" as my friends call it. I am into a guy right now who is pretty sexually experienced, and I am nervous to tell him because I feel like he will assume I am some prude, or someone who is gonna get clingy and weird. I have done everything else but sex, and I had sort of had sex with one guy in the past, so I am not totally inexperienced. Sex to me isn't a big deal, I just wanted to trust the person I lost it to. Will guys be freaked out/turned off by this?

Sounds like a good thing to me. I'd much rather the girl care about who she is doing, rather than have sex with just about anybody. I'd go as far as to say I like it even more when the girl wants love before sex, as I feel the same way. But I suppose that's a bit different.

To answer your question, every guy is different. Will some be freaked out by that? Yes, I assume some of them will be. The guys that are freaked out by it, are probably going to be the ones looking something a lot less serious anyway, so it's not like that's a big deal, since it looks like you are looking for more of a relationship than a fling. So if this -does- freak the guy you are interested in out, he couldn't have been much into you, and certainly wasn't a good match for you.

The good guys, the ones who aren't as you call them douchebags or who won't cheat on you 2 days later. Those guys won't be freaked out, I guarantee it. I think a lot of good guys would see it as a sign of character.

I'm 21 and a virgin. Nearly all girls I've been involved with are virgins. There's a lot of us out there. It's not a big deal. No rush.

But in my experience guys like virgins.. the few guys I've felt I should tell were surprised in a good way..they say I'm very unusual and unique and they like that..anyway if a guy has a problem with that its probably better if you don't continue the relationship..

you should be proud of the fact you're a virgin and to be honest a lot of decent guys will probably not think that it's a huge deal that you are. when you meet a guy who is good eniugh for you he will respect the fact that you are a virgin and not freak out, it'll happen :)
