I never feel nervous or awkward. Reason being the shop is there for that exact reason--to sell the sexual pleasures. ;) The employees there probably have seen it all, so you won't ever receive funny looks. I'll have to admit, I've never gone in solo, but while with friends (both genders) it's fun to browse and make jokes here and there. Sex is a natural thing, so I treat it as such.

I've never bought a toy or a movie when I go in. Normally when I go in it is for gag gifts. I've been in with my friends, my mother, and my sister. My mom felt awkward, not me. lol

I don't feel nervous or uncomfortable when I go there, at least not until there are guys who are obviously staring at you to see what you pick up. lol NOW THAT'S AWKWARD! lol

I think it would make it awkward either way. lol I'm one of those people who gives the stare-ers a run for their money. I tend to go with my friend who looks like the stereotypical lesbian. So I might play it up and be like "Oh pookie... we don't have this one yet." or "Sexy... we should try this!" I love busting their balls even though my friend is blushing up a storm as I'm playing it up hardcore! lol

Not at all. In fact, I find it less embarrassing to go to a sex toy shop than to say, buy condoms at a drug store. The thing is, everyone else is there for the same reason. :P

Not anymore. I used to go a whole lot when they were the only places to find lube. (Now supermarkets have wised up.) I still go regularly since I go shopping with most of my partners. (Extra-helpful in learning what she's intrigued or curious about.)

Go enough times and it becomes just another store, with cashiers, shelves, and stuff to buy--as it should be.

Only gone once, with my boyfriend. Didn't feel embarrasing at all. My boyfriend felt kinda awkward cause of things we bought cause he thought the saleslady was giving him judging looks. I told him not to worry cause it's me she should be judging XD
