My husband and I go to nude/clothing optional beaches a lot. I don't see many guys with erections but I have seen some. Everyone's different, but my view is that erections are normal. If the guy isn't playing with himself or shoving it in my face, but just acting normal, then I certainly don't mind and depending on my mood I can enjoy seeing penises in different states of arousal.
I've never been to a nude beach. Would love to go. I do feel that I would get aroused very quickly. I was never sure if that was frowned upon or not.
It's normal, but it isn't encouraged in most nudist places. Guys would be encouraged to cover up with a towel, turn over or otherwise hide it. Nudism isn't about sex and sexuality, it's a family environment where people choose to not wear clothing. Overt signs of sexual activity are heavily frowned upon.
Now, I don't mean to judge, but that's a little too 'out there' for my prudish white ass. I'm more inclined to shove sexuality under the bed and hope it doesn't crawl out at night (or at the beach).

Nude beach does not mean nudism beach.
You can be nude there no matter what the reason.
You either like to be nude because you are a nudist or because it turns you on.
In the latter that often means exhibitionism.
