Why does he suddenly want me to hug him tightly during sex?

I've been dealing with a guy for some time now and when I let him know that I plan to move on to find a new love and get remarried, he says "Hold me tight" during sex. Another day he did the same and I did and he said, "tighter". Why is he doing this. Brief history behind us is I am a divorcee at the age of 33 after 11 years which make me a bit emotionally guarded. He claims to be single although I believe there may be a special someone. Is this him simply hugging me to enjoy me while he can, is he attempting to get me to show my emotional/vulnerable side, or is he developing deeper feelings? I am confused...

It seems to me that he IS developing deeper feelings for you. If he wants to be held during sex, he probably wants to feel CLOSER to you both physically/spiritually. Because sex isn't just physical, ya know? Man, sounds like this guy is really hooked on you.

I don't think he's playing a guessing game. He probably doesn't want to burden you with his feelings since you've made up your mind.

He sounds like the type of guy who's emotional and most probably also the type who gets attached quickly (which depending on your view can either be good or bad)
