Many guys do this and some call it "testing the waters" lol to see if they really want to go down there. I think its fine as long as you are polite about it and at least try to make it sexy, but if a girl gets turned off by it that girl is probly not your number one choice.
Lol, no one I've ever been with has done this, but I don't think it would bother me too much if they did. I'd probably find it a turn on if my boyfriend did that, but then again, he already knows what I smell like and has no problem just diving in there, haha.
