Is it normal for men to touch themselves whilst sleeping without having erotic dreams?

My boyfriend constantly grinds his teeth in his sleep and always wakes me up cause of it. At e same time, I'd see him with his hand down his pants touching or rubbing his genitals. I even saw him unzipped his pants there to get to them.. Coughs. The touching will stop once e teeth grinding stops. I've woken him up to ask him what happened and he'd mention being cornered or chased and feeling really scared or anxious. and that's about it. Qn is, is it normal to touch yourself without having erotic dreams? I used to be a little disturbed by it but have no idea how to tell him about it..:/

Well I doubt that I would do that while sleeping , but you never know , anyway I mostly don't really remember the dreams that I had or if I had any , it's a possibility that he had an erotic dream and just was embarrassed to tell you , anyway there are people that walk while sleeping , talk while sleeping , once a friend of my was sleeping over , so I was sleeping on the bed and he was sleeping on the caught and he woke me up in the night speaking nonsense about he's girlfriend and if I messaged her to see when we all will go out together , its was so real that at first I thought that he was making fun of me or something , after a while I got scared and turned on the light and then he somehow regained consciousness and told me to go on and sleep and I said wtf , so I don't think that its a big deal if your boyfriend just does his thing :P

More worried about the teeth grinding. Not just bad for the teeth and jaws, but can bring on incredible headaches.

He should see someone about that, or it will be financially very expensive to deal with the consequences.

I think it's normal for men to touch themselves a lot. I saw them do it while playing video or watching tv. I wouldn't be surprised if they do it while they are dreaming.

My friends hubby is like that so I'm told... the joke that's always passed around the fire pit is that he commonly will have sex with her while he is fully asleep.
