Is it weird to date your cousin?

me and my cousin aren't dating but we both like each other, were both bi girls, and I kissed her longer than I've kissed anyone else and when we were making out she was the one who kept going back to kiss me again over and over but I didn't hesitate to kiss her back, and when we werent pulling away we were grabing each other and pulling each other closer and running our hands through each others hair and running our hands up and down each others waists, it turned me on so much and it turned her on too. but I was wondering if it was weird that me and my cousin like each other in that way. and would it be weird if me and her dated?

For starters: how close of a cousin are you 2, first cousin is pretty creepy, like your mom's sister's daughter. Second cousin isn't as bad, like your mom's mom's sister's daughter's daughter (your grandmother's sister's granddaughter). That's obviously because you are more genetically diverse and inbreeding isn't as severe. BUT since you are both bi girls, it makes things different. You aren't going to be having any children together, so that threat is eliminated, and when girls date each other, I usually don't ask any questions. I have been cursed (or blessed) with a very hot second cousin that I met for the first time since I was probably 4 last week. She is downright beautiful, but I have to mentally slap myself every time I look at her because I know we're related and it would be awkward if we were together. She would be my grandmother's sister's granddaughter, or my dad's first-cousin's daughter, but she does live in alabama, and that's where most of my family on that side is from lolol. Either way, if she's not your first cousin, if she's farther away then you get my stamp of approval, not any more weird than 2 girls dating in the first place ;D

BUT there are a lot of weird things going on in this world... as I see it if you don't try to 'pursue' your cousin although I don't know how exactly.. either you or her are going to try to pursue some other chick which is almost just as weird... so I say do whatever feels right without caring what the world thinks

It may not be illegal but I do think its wrong not matter what the sex is and I'm sure many people eg friend and don't forget family would feel the same and putting all factors aside from when you yourself questions any relationship it a big sign not to go there
