Butterflykisses' answer didn't surprise me, that's what I've often encountered. Or put another way, the girls who would rate receiving oral over getting it are ones who simply HATE blowjobs, though a lot of them aren't that into receiving either.

Receiving gives a lot of pleasure to women, but sexual excitement and satisfaction are about a lot more then the level of stimulation. I think a lot of women find being eaten out less exciting then having sex or even giving head.

Question asker, you should understand this, since you yourself know how great it is to pleasure your partner, see them enjoy it ... and not feel pressured by your own response. You get to please them, not worry about your self-image issues, and feel better about yourself because you made her orgasm.

But if you focus entirely on this, women will feel like you want a performing puppet who orgasms on command to make you feel like you're a studly lover. You think you are being super generous, but you're not - its like you have a deal where they get all the pleasure, and you get all the self-esteem boost.

Guess what, not that many women want that, in fact I'd guess that on average, women like that deal even less then men do.

I am by no means trying to dissuade you from giving tons of enthusiastic oral to your girlfriends. By all means, get in there, lift her hips off the bed, do it with pleasure. But don't make it all about her unless she really wants that. Have her please you. Show her how excited YOU are. Get comfortable with YOUR body being focused on. Sometimes you need to give, but sometimes you need to be a little selfish too. If you don't worry about your own needs, you're actually putting a ton of pressure on her to respond in certain ways.

My boyfriend doesn't actually like it too much  because he's very sensitive to smell, but he does anyways and I LOVE IT!  I had been eaten out once before by another guy, but he wasn't that good at it, but my boyfriend is like an 8 out of 10 when he does it.
