Only 17% of women in the US enjoy giving head, so to the 17%: what the hell are you thinking?

Giving head is the worst and by far most disgusting and degrading sexual act of all time. that's no suprise why a recent survey concluded on 17% of women actually enjoy giving head. What I don't understand is how these women can do something so sluttly and horrible. Good girls don't get on their knees. So someone tell me why they like it or are 17% of women hopless prositutes...

The USA is probably the most sexually repressed and puritanical country in the western would, almost to the point of being a laughing stock amongst other western nations.

You'd be talking about an age group between 18 and 100, and maybe 50% of those women are married. Another 25% will be in an unmarried relationship.
How many of those married women won't want to engage in ANY sex at all? That's not unusual for married women, especially when they get past 45. I'd estimate that maybe 75% of married women between 18 and 100 are not seeking any sexual satisfaction or offering any to their husbands. Some of these women would rather chew their arm off than even kiss their husband or show any physical affection. I have seen figures and surveys listing the results for various age groups, and that wouldn't be far wrong.

If we assume that those in unmarried relationships still have a sex life, then about 37.5% of the female population are sexually active. 17% is pretty close to 1/2 of that. The other half (or 55%) had better hope that their partner is mighty good at penetrative sex. Not many men are that good, and they're not likely to go down on a woman who won't return the favour, just so she can reach an orgasm. Let's face it, a man's lollipop doesn't have as many unpleasant features as a woman's snatch. All the same, I've still been known to go down at any time of the month for the right woman (who would return the favour).

That might not seem unanimous, until you factor in the number of women who remain virginal and avoid sexual contact until marriage.

If you think you'll find a man who's a champion at penetrative sex, he might be able to get a better deal. Joining the ranks of inorgasmic women (something like 9%), is more likely the case.

go crack a history book and learn that in the past the equivalent of prostitutes were cherished, shunning them is very new and a white man/patriarchal idea

While I don't particularly enjoy giving head and I don't necessarily find it disgusting and degrading.  If the guy likes it and returns the favor that's really all I care about.  Head only becomes slutty if you're giving it to a guy you just met 5 minutes ago.  Do you really think it's slutty if someone is in a committed relationship and gives their boyfriend head?  Honestly you sound like a prude.  I mean you're calling head disgusting and degrading, how would you define rape?  That to me is disgusting and degrading thing a person can do. I do not feel grossed out. I LOVE IT. Me. Not anyone forcing me to do anything. Just me. As for it being slutty? horrible? Prostitutes? Come on. Do you think its slutty for a guy to lick a girl? I never claimed to be a good girl, I'll gladly get on my knees for my guy. =] Something is only degrading if you feel degraded by it. Giving head isn't inherently degrading. I don't feel degraded, and my boyfriend doesn't degrade me, so I enjoy it. If you feel degraded, then don't do it, but don't get catty and call other girls names for not feeling the same way you do.
