"Virgin" and "inexperience" have become synonymous. What do you think of when you see two very attractive teenagers who are clearly sexually active with one another? Most of us would assume they are very experienced, and they did a lot of things right in order to reach those circumstances.

Sex is on TV, sex is in the music we listen to, and sex is all over the internet! How can you not have had sex? Everyone is doing it! Yes, I know that sounds ignorant. Humans have a long history of ignorance.
The dejection you are feeling abides by the laws of conformity. When the majority of people are engaging in a certain act, being the minority feels wrong. It's much more widely accepted to abstain from sex in say, the Bible Belt (states that are heavily religious) than it is in New Orleans or Cancun during Spring Break. I could go on further, but this should answer your question.

sometimes it does - like you have your nose up in the air and you look down on those that throw themselves at every guy they meet. I am a virgin and lately I was thinking of waiting til marriage , I am not too gone on it yet, I m just thinking of it. The amount of pregnancies from one night stands is shocking , not that all women who have sex get pregnant , but as I always say when it happens it happens , just need to make sure its with the right person and that you are safe. If the source is 20-year-old guys who would prefer to get laid on the first date, then, yeah, they aren't likely to be interested in a 20-year-old virgin who is likely to make them wait a long time, if ever, to have sex. Those guys aren't really interested in a long-term relationship, and since that's what you're "selling", you don't have anything they are interested in.
Not all guys are like that, of course, but let's face it: most guys in their late teens and early 20's are understandably sex-crazed; it's evolutionary biological programming at work. So it can be a bit of work sorting through the guys who just want sex to find the guys who actually want a relationship.

Virgins are more likely to feel uncomfortable around men in social situations because they aren't as comfortable with their sexually (experience wise) but other than that I wouldn't judge someone on their life decisions as it isn't my business too.
