Its not that a large is is becoming an honorable thing per-say (though it has become a status symbol used for bragging rights and sexual blame in the recent century), its that a small penis size has apparently become an embarrassing thing in western culture. Ask 9/10 women what they think and they'll equate it to 1. bad sex 2. thinks he will have an insecurity complex or not be sexually confident 3. laugh about it with friends in fear of being judged or embarrassed herself.
That being said, its the media. They always blow things out of proportion, give biased stories and rant about pretty well everything. You rarely hear about their garbage in real life, most people could care less what some celebrity or stranger is talking about.
By default, a woman who demands a certain size is revered as the others wish they had the clout to demand the same to avoid the 3 criteria you assigned to small penis men in your answer. So, honorable may not be the right word, but envied for sure. Its a symptom more of man hate than a true physical need, by the way.

The question is why the need to go on national TV and say you have to have any size?
