Is it possible to have sex without losing your virginity?

When I had sex for the first time I didn't bleed, which worried my boyfriend at the time cause it was his first time too. At the time, I wasn't sure if I was date raped a year before that so I assumed that was the reason I didn't bleed. Last time, I slept with a more expeirenced man who was the only person I have slept with since the other boyfriend. What surprised me was the fact he was smaller than the other guy but I did bleed this time (no it wasn't that time of the month either) Is it possible that even though I had sex at least a hundred times with the first guy, I didn't physically lose my virginity until last night?

I guess I should have highlighted that I understand I'm not a virgin emotionally etc, but is it possible to have sex without breaking the hyman? That's what is confusing me.

  • Before I begin, let me ask you to Forgive my rudeness, I do not mean this to be taken without careful consideration: As a large man 6'4" 210lbs of testosterone, and a heart with respect for God and the sanctity of marriage and my romantic Woman who I intend to marry. The best advice I can offer you is to Master-bate to non nude sexy clothed pictures, some things being almost see through, she satisfies my need to relieve myself without looking elsewhere. (Sometimes though, I wish I could see more of her, but that's where I have to respect her.)

    • ... How is this even..? What?

  • i was 15 when I lost my virginity, the guy was bigger than average and I didn't bleed one drop and I'm small like down there. I'm 24 now and every now and then I bleed a little from sex. some girls don't have hymans left by the time they have sex, its something your born with but as you grow it opens up.Most girls don't bleed unless they are really young like under 13 . I knew guys that bragged about make their girl bleed, but after talking to her I found out it wasn't true

  • Blood is not the sign of you losing your virginity.

Losing your virginity is when a penis enters you. If your previous boyfriends' penis entered you, you had sex, meaning you lost your virginity.

The blood with the other guy can be explained by something else, I don't know what but it wasn't you losing your virginity.

    • Losing your virginity "emotionally" is virtually worthless. But yeah, in some cases you can have sex without tearing your hymen, if it's tougher than usually - that doesn't mean you didn't lose your virginity though. Hymen =/= virgin.

  • You lose your virginity the first time you have intercourse, whether your hymen breaks or not. Girls break their hymens from using tampons, masturbating, getting fingered, etc. but you can't lose your virginity to a tampon or a finger :P

  • Your hymen can break from other activities (gymnastics, sports, stretching, running, etc.) & you possibly didn't realize it. I don't remember bleeding when I lost my virginity.

Your hymen doesn't really count as your virginity nowadays anyway.

    • Agreed

  • if you have to break your hymen to lose your virginity all guys would be virgins and I would have lost it riding a bike when I was 11
