They are more than likely going to pee and freshen up however they can without making it obvious that they're totally washing/wiping/otherwise checking the vag.

I personally seriously do pee. It's good for you to pee before and after sex, prevents UTIs. Then after I pee, I do "freshen up" my vag :P That's it, though.
What is involved in the freshing up process? soap and water? TP dabs? A bottle of douche from the purse for just such an occasion? I really do wonder. If I feel "not so fresh", I'll just tell her I need to shower first and give myself a good scrubbing. I know a penis can really get stinky if you've been sweating all day.
I have no clue what other girls do, but I just use a wet washcloth. I've yet to find a soap that doesn't make me itch down there, and water does the trick just fine.

Personally if I excuse myself I'm taking the tampon out. Because the blood doesn't seem to be a problem but sanitary supplies sure seem to freak guys out.
With my ex, it was so that she didn't pee all over me when she came--orgasms loosen the floodgates for some.

Pee, use a "Cool Wipe" down there (feminine wipes), make sure I have deoderant on, make sure I smell good all over, make sure the makeup looks good and I ask myself if I look good enough. Lol.
I think most do a quick "whore bath" so they are lickable. :)
