  • I've never been offended by it. I insist on engaging in safe sex, and that includes wearing a condom. The only time I wouldn't wear a condom is if I were in a long-term monogamous relationship with someone and we had both been tested for STDs prior and neither of us had any. In that case, if my partner still wanted to use condoms, I would completely respect that.

I have no idea why someone would be offended, unless they took it to mean that you thought they had an STD? But that's really silly, because 1) you can rarely be 100% sure that someone doesn't have an STD, and 2) how can they be 100% sure that you don't have one? Condoms are meant to protect both people, and even if you've both been tested and the girl is on birth control, some people prefer to use condoms as well, for extra protection against unwanted pregnancy.

  • If it was only a hook up, I'd get offended if he didn't have a condom. But if its after a couple of months of relationship, I'd prefer not to use. I'm on the pill, I'd get tested if he wants to, he'd have to get tested too. I wouldn't be offended if we insits on wearing one, but maybe a bit diappointed

    • I pretty much agree with this answer. I prefer that a new partner use a condom for the first few times while we get familiar with each other. I'm on the pill too so after a few weeks or months I would have no problem just relying on the my bc. I've never been tested but if the guy wanted us to get tested we could go together.

  • why on earth would someone be offened over that its called being safe, before my husband I lived by the rule no glove no love after marriage we wanted a family so we stopped using them and that's the only reason why we did
