Why are girls' nipples so sensitive?

But guy nipples aren't sensitive. I have heard of some girls that are so sensitive that they can orgasm from nipple stimulation! SO why is this?

I can't orgasm from nipple stimulation and it doesn't really turn me on either :S so not all girls have sensitive nipples (well mine get painful sensitive around "that time of the month").

But probably most females have sensitive nipples due to it's function of lactating? Females tend to enjoy breast-feeding. It releases oxytocin so maybe that's why? I have no damn clue though.

when my nipples get stimulated this tingly throbbing sensation starts in my vagina, it's an incredible feeling. Girls nipples are sensitive, and it feels good to have them stimulated. this isn't quite true...guys nipples are just as sensitive...

it's just less common that guys like the stimulation.

the reason why women can orgasm from nipple stimulation isn't because the nipples are that sensitive, but because their imagination is stronger. some women can even orgasm with only thinking about stimulation and sex.

yes I am. let me quote this: "embryos men and women have similar tissues and body parts. If anything the embryo follows a 'female template'. That is why nipples are present in both sexes." it always depends from person to person. I as an example have VERY sensitive nipples. generalizing is always dangerous in the human world...since everyone is a bit different.

well girls nipples have a function. ours dont. its like how your hands have more nerves then your feet; our hands have much more function so they require it

I'm not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that it has to do with more stimulation of the nerves during growth/development during puberty.
