Does anyone ever feel like this after clubbing?

Last night, I went clubbing for the first time in my life (I'm 18) and got completely off my face. I was stumbling around, acting like an idiot and all my inhibitions were gone. Anyway, from what I recall, I grinded with several guys, got felt up and made out with 2 of them and had to fend off several sexual propositions. I lost my first kiss to some guy I don't even remember. This morning, I feel sick with disgust and shame, and I don't want to leave my dorm because I'm afraid people might recognize me (the club is close to my uni). Is this normal?

  • well actually it happened to me as well, when I was 18 and I moved to a very far away country alone for college and made a lot of new friends and we go out at university clubs very often. but mostly we are just all girls together and we do not get drunk and lost our mind! that is very important! if we decide its gonna be drunk/wasted night, we stay inside the corridor and invite people and we DO NOT go outside and be drunk... it is too risky. it is fun to go out to clubs and play and get tipsy, if some guys are trying to touch you without asking, BARK LOUDLY at him and scare the crap out of him and he will leave xD hahaha no just kidding, watch jenna marbles video about how to make people stop talking to you :D it works all the time for me! :D \

btw, I lost my virginity with a guy I met in the club, I was totally sober and absolutely enjoyed it without any guilt or regret ^^

    • Yeah, that's pretty intelligent (not getting smashed in public). I'll keep that in mind for next time lol. I don't think I have enough self-esteem to tell guys to go away like that ha (but I love that video - that woman is genius!). That's good - the last thing I'd want is to regret giving that away ^^.

  • that completely sucks that you had your first kiss like that! I'm sorry to hear it <3. But yeah your definitely not the only person that this has happened to and I don't think you should be embarrassed. Happy to hear you didn't go home with anyone! Don't worry too much about it, just make sure not to drink so much next time

    • Yeah, definitely. It was pretty gross, from what I remember lol. Yep, it was the first time I've ever been fully drunk. I never really understood how much of an effect alcohol could have...

    • yupp, just make sure you stay away from tequila! lol. I've had my fare share of black out nights then hearing stories in the morning that absolutely mortified me, but meh I got over it and I've done way worse things than you did lol. It's all good and don't let it stop you from having fun :)

    • Ah, too late for that haha. Yeah, I'll probably be fine tomorrow. It's just, this is so out of the norm for me, it honestly feels like a nightmare. So unreal. Yep, I'll just drink a little (lot) less next time :)

  • think nothing of it, I bet you everyone else was just as wasted as you were and don't remember or they saw how messed up you were and will understand, you're young, it's expected to an extent. don't worry too much, all it'll do is cause you stress and make things worse. <3

    • I'm hoping that they all were. I'm pretty sure I looked like a right idiot. Thanks <3.

  • yes it is, almost everyone has been in that position. don't feel bad, it was a learning experience, consider it feedback, don't make the same mistake. don't get so wasted when you go out, you will have a better time and you can try and pick up guys you actually want, not get picked up by guys you don't want. I've been drunk a million times at university and made a fool of myself a million times, everyone does it, but not everyone stops doing it, be one of the people that stops, don't get as drunk, but still drink and have fun.

    • I guess the novelty of being able to legally get alcohol got to me. Well, I'm pretty sure the novelty has worn off at this stage so I'll definitely refrain from downing shots like I did. Thanks :D.

    • It's a right of passage. What university did you party at?

    • Ah, that's a secret ;).

  • Society will accept that behavior as normal, and mostly you'll receive no judgement...

..but I say you should feel ashamed, and it's good you are!

No matter what kind of sh*t may be considered as a norm, we should always maintain selfcontrol!

After all.. that night was not what you really wanted anyway, was it?

    • No, it really really wasn't. Oh well. It was my first time actually getting drunk, so now I know what kind of drunk I am (a slutty stupid one :[).

  • Welcome to funtabulous world of the morning after. =D You may forget but, there is always someone there that will not. I know this all to often. As long as you didn't order the A$$ Hurts. What is that you say: A drink in which a stranger hands you a chocolate milk that he just made, and you wake up three hours later lying on your stomach with your pants around your ankles.

    Good Luck,

  • Take a good sleep and get a fresh start. Bear in mind that everyone makes mistake. Let the past be the past. We all learn from mistakes aren't we? and that is what that makes us a better person. :']

    • I don't know why this was downvoted. It's pretty solid, optimistic advice. Thanks :D.

    • u're welcome, I hope you're feeling better now. :')

  • Drunk hookups, WAY NORMAL. You want to outgrow that, though, not the best way to get to know someone (though it's a hell of an introduction).

The shame is useless. Dump it. We've all been there, and moping improves nothing. Avoid getting sh*tfaced, and move on.

  • Now you know your limits hahaha Don't get too wasted next time

    • This

  • I can't say I've felt the same way. I generally enjoy clubbing and have been doing it for over a year and am yet to hook up with anyone. I'm clearly not what guys go for :) That being said, I always have a good time and enjoy it with my friends.

    • Ha, so you basically don't look like an easy lay. That's pretty admirable. Yeah, I reckon next time I go, I'll stick with my mates.

    • I guess so. Being with your friends is the best.

  • every girl has one of those nights. dust yourself off, eat a good breakfast, sleep in, and get your mind off of it for a day. the next time you go out you can still have a lot of fun, just know your limits a little more.

  • It's times like these when I wish I could know of a girl's past

    • What do you mean?

    • I wouldn't date a girl like you described

    • Fascinating. (I'm not actually being sarcastic)

  • not only are you drinking illegally..youre also acting like a ho..very immature..then again what can you expect from girls your age..

    btw. I'm 22

    • howd you know what country she was from?

    • How do you know she's drinking illegally?

    • Lol, how arrogant. I'm not American, mate, so I'm perfectly within my rights to drink alcohol. "very immature... then again what can you expect from girls your age"... seems a pretty pointless thing to say...

  • That is disgusting...

    • Thanks for your input.

    • was the really necessary? If you've never heard of people acting like that when they're drunk you could have said "no, it's not normal" instead of calling her disgusting. Shit happens, you're a judgmental bitch which makes you disgusting. You don't need to make someone feel bad who already feels bad in the first place. You may not agree with what she did (even though A LOT of people have been like that) doesn't mean you have to be disrespectful.
