really? commando means without underwear. it's no more socially acceptable for women to go commando, we can get arrested just as easily as men for public indecency so there's no logic in that. in any case, I've done it as a "naughty" treat (to tease my partner) or if I stayed out all night and felt too frowsy to keep same pants on - threw them in the bin on way home and not for any perversion
