Is it common for that guys in parties put roofies in girls' drinks? And rape them afterwards?

My friend told me about that how some of these unfortunate events really do occur in parties in party colleges. I only thought it's a myth because people I hang around with will definitely not do such a thing. I for one will never put roofies into girls' drinks. That's just really horrible, and so what if I get her p***y, it's still not sex because she's not really enjoying it on her own free will. Anyways, I don't wanna write too much to make you guys read, so yeah. One more thing, if this does happen, is it that only nerds that can't get laid do this. Or popular, "cool" guys who can get laid might do this too? I am not accusing anybody, just that my friend told me about it a few days ago and it strikes me.

  • It happens and it happens at every school, not just party schools (and in all honesty every school is a party school). But it doesn't happen as often as people like to make it seem like it does. It happens every now and then and only really sleazy guys do it. A lot of the time it's just rumors too. When I was a freshman someone told me not to go to this one frat because they roofied their drinks, a year later I joined a sorority that was really close with them and now I laugh with their brothers about how ridiculous it was that I thought they would ever roofie drinks.

  • It happened to my sister. She was in therapy for years afterward. Yes. It happens. I am now much wiser in this area. I never leave my drinks unattended. If I go to the bathroom and forget, even if its a full drink I left behind...I get a new one. You can never be too cautious.

  • Yes, it happens. More often than people think, but it's rarely reported to the police. And it's not just the "nerds" that do this. A whole variety of different people do it.

  • I really hope its not common -.- I'm a collage freshman...and haven't gotten to the party scene..yet...and ya I really hope that doesn't happen...

    • Get your own drink. Watch the batender carefully. Or, don't drink. Or, don't party.
