Why do men call women who enjoy sex "sluts" or "whores"?

I thought that most people would call woman slut if she had slept with many many men. But I've browsed through some p*rn sites the other day and on some of them you could leave a comment on the video. Whenever a girl obviously enjoyed herself or when they were doing something uncommon and she enjoyed it, the men that commenting on it called wrote things like "she's such a slut" When did enjoying sex become equal to being a slut? I know I'm not supposed to care what other people think, but I kinda do. I'm with my boyfriend since high school and so did some things that maybe some girls wouldn't do and I really enjoy. Basicly the only difference between us and the couples on the video, is that we don't tape it. I don't want him to think of me as a slut

A woman can enjoy sex and be highly sexual with out being a slut. That's when she does it with one person at a time/not everyone in town. She's not a slut. A woman who enjoys sleeping around is a slut, and some sluts don't actually enjoy the sex that much. They enjoy the attention that the sex gives them, or the validation they are hot because they can get many guys to sleep with them. Whores get something from the sex (money, status of being with a certain guy, other benefits like maybe at work). The key being a whore gets something in exchange for the sex, and again may not enjoy the sex as much as what they get for it. The word is used loosely just like guys are called creepers or perves when not exactly appropriate. Men can also be whores or sluts. The offense to the word is just a feminist thing. Don't call a woman something bad for being a woman doing something bad (which sleeping around often is. Taking advantage of guys, leading guys on, spReading stds etc). It's not wrong to call a spade a spade. Women use this word more than men and in the context you refer to. As soon as black people stop using the N word for each other, and women stop callin some sluts, the rest will follow suit...

I'm pretty sure that in the context that you heard, guys commenting on a p*rno and calling the girl a slut, they actually meant it in a positive way...lol. Let me explain. Men actually love women who love sex. By them saying "she's such a slut" they were commenting on how she enjoyed (or seemed to enjoy, they are called p*rn "actresses") what she was doing. This was a turn on for the guys. It is kind of weird that they would say it like that, "slut" being such a derogatory term to a lot of people especially women, but I've heard guys say it a million times and that's pretty much what it means. A guy is not going to genuinely think you're a slut unless you are sleeping around with a bunch of guys. You should talk to your boyfriend about this.

It's a societal stigma rooted in the whole Madonna/Whore complex and it's total b.s. If a guy sleeps around he's congratulated and he's branded a stud, but if a girl does it she's considered disgusting and condemned as a slut. It's just another way SOME men try to control and oppress women, ya know, like trolls who are bored.

I wouldn't worry about it. Lots of guys want to act out the stuff they see in p*rn and they can hardly call their partner a slut when they do the same stuff!

I see it as a way of guys projecting their own sexual shame and frustration onto women. Honestly, it bothers me too. Not only is it hypocritical, it hurts women and encourages them to feel ashamed about their own natural desires. Not all guys think this way and only the most prudish, sexually screwed up guys will think less of their own girlfriend for having consensual sex with them.

I would not wworry about the comments made on a p*rn site. If you enjoy getting wild with a boyfriend, you are not a slut. Just a hot girl that does stuff other guys wish their GFs would do. Your Boyfriend is enjoying himself not thinking of you as a slut. relax.

We don't mostly call women sluts for enjoying sex. We call them sluts for doing sexual activities with MULTIPLE people. There's a difference.

I would only call a woman a slut or a whore if she gets something out of sex other than the pleasure itself (I.E. money, power, favors, social status).

In other words, if a girl is promiscuous just because she likes having sex - I have no problem with that. It's when she manipulates and uses her powers for evil is when I take issue.
