Guys: how soon would you have sex with your virgin girlfriend?

I'm in my mid-20s, I didn't seriously date until recently because I had a lot of stuff going on in my life, and I didn't have any room for a relationship (lame excuse I know). But I'm curious. It's certainly going to be harder to convince a virgin to have sex with you. How long would you wait for her? Would you eventually push her to have sex with you? I know some guys really want to date a virgin, some guys would never date one, so if you could also state your preference that would be cool.

I wouldn't push you...in fact, I might even try to dissuade you...but that's also because I believe in waiting until marriage.

I hate to say it, but most guys who don't have a conviction about waiting, are probably not going to be willing to wait 6 months, much less a year. The guys I know who are sexually active, generally have sex after the first few dates. Sometimes they'll wait a month if they really like the girl. But six months to a year is a very long time for a sexually active guy to go without sex.

I think you're going to find that guys are roughly split between two extremes -- those who will not wait at all, and those who will wait but for a specific reason. Here are your options:

A) They don't want to wait but are desperate.

B) They have low sex drive.

C) They want to wait until marriage.

It's hard to answer this question. The amount of time I'd date a girl without having sex depends on:

(a) how excited I am about her.

(b) what else is going on in my life at the moment (thing suck as stress from work will affect that)

(c) what other than intercourse are we doing together.

Normally, if on a third date there is nothing physical going on between us, I tend to lose interest. On the other hand, if I'm really interested in a girl emotionally, I can survive for months without actual intercourse (but I would need oral and handjobs). A year is a bit too much.

considering you haven't lost your virginity yet, you could save yourself for marriage and find another guy who has the same mindset.. he certainly wouldn't pressure you at least..
