Guys, do you like when a girl straddles you or sits on your lap while making out?

Im a small girl and whenever I'm making out with a guy I always sit on his lap or I straddle him (sitting on his lap facing him). I recently noticed that I'm the only girl that ever does this...at parties the girls always sit on the couch beside their guys and never on their laps, do guys not like this? I also watch porrn sometimes and I realized I never see the girls doing it either. Once I was at a park with this guy and when he started making out with me I sat on his lap facing him...he commented on it saying none of his previous girlfriends had ever done it which made me self conscious.
