Condoms keeps breaking... what are we doing wrong?

ok so my boyfriend and I have been having sex for a few months now, and back in October we had a broken condom that actually led to semen and a piece of latex getting inside of me. Then last night we actually went through three condoms! The first got all rolled up funny on him and we couldn't fix it so we swapped it out for a second one and it broke! Luckily he noticed it before we were finished but seriously what is the deal here? I take birth control pills but occasionally am late taking a pill by a few hours and am paranoid, plus semen inside me just feels gross and I just want to cover all my bases. I watch him put the condom on, they are trojan brand which I thought were supposed to be pretty good, they fit properly and he keeps the air out of the tip... what can I do to keep this from continuing? Am I doing something wrong? Should I buy some lube or something? Is he being too rough? I am at a loss.

I've had Trojans break, too. Switched to Durex and haven't had any problems. Lube is a factor too, if things get dry and there's more friction, the condom is more likely to break.

What I did after the Trojan problem is I bought several different kinds and brands of condoms (I bought small boxes but there are also free samples of various kinds at clinics and such) and tested each kind out by literally TRYING to break them with my hands, haha. I was thinking to myself, "God I'm a weirdo," but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do to stop being paranoid.

Good to know. I have some durex ones but we haven't tried those yet since I was afraid it be even worse. And that's pretty awesome lol. In theory you should be able to stick almost your whole arm inside without it breaking so I don't know haha

lol it happens, I am surprised they are trojans though. Must have been a lemon. It may also be he doesn't put it on properly. No air bubbles and also have it go all the way down to the base so it is wrapped properly. If it is too tight he should get a slightly bigger one aswell.

He might be using a size too small, or you guys might be getting a bit too crazy.

I would suggest getting some lubricant. Make sure that it's water based if you're using latex condoms. Also, avoid ultra-thin and gimmicky condoms as they're frequently intended more for pleasure than durability.

Latex condoms have a reputation for drying girls out, so lube is a must.

condom may be too small or you may be really dry, dryness causes the condom to break a lot.

Then it's pretty odd that the condoms break. Maybe they're old or are being stored improperly. Just by a new pack and f*** away! Good luck!
