What is the advantage of being a slut? I really wanna know.

I think a better way to think about it, is that all girls and guys are capable of being 'slutty'. It's just a matter of to what degree they do it. Typically for guys, being a slut is an advantage because you get to sleep with multiple women and you gain experience and confidence. Society is more acceptable to men being promiscuous, guy is more likely to get a 'good job stud' and a slap on the back than he is likely to take any grief for it. It's more natural for guys to move from partner to partner because they attach emotionally quite differently than women do. I'm not saying they don't connect sex with emotion, because I know they do, it's just not as soon or as extreme as it is for women. When a girl shows slutty behavior, I don't think the advantages are as great as they can be for men. Some women sleep with different men simply because that's exactly what they want to do. Adults can have sexual relations with whomever they please, it's really no one else's business. On the other hand, I think a lot of women sleep with numerous guys because they lack confidence and are attention seeking in the worst possible place they could. Sleeping with someone and then having them gone the next day like you don't matter at all can do a number on a girls psyche. Plus, most guys prefer to date women who have not been in bed with a large number of other guys, no guy wants to date the girl that everyone else got for free. Overall, I don't view this as wise or rewarding behavior for a woman.

I hate that word. I don't use it. And I think it's rude. I don't care what others' do & I don't sit around pondering why women who have lots of sex & multiple partners are getting out of it? I think you're just trying to down your thought on your definition of that word you used "slut".

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I'm not pissed or trying to insult or demean women who enjoy their sex lives. Not at all. People in relationships also enjoy their sex lives... Sex is something meant to be enjoyed. I just didn't choose one road over the other... And literally am interested in understanding the other road. Perhaps it was a poor choice of words.. But I really am interested cause I don't get it. You can't be angry at me for asking what chocolate cake is like when I've only ever had vanilla.

But think about it...you think "sluts" are going to come on here & answer? LOL. No. .you're just going to get people talking about what they assume/think they know. In that sense you're right. I've been very suprised by answers on here, and was hoping for a legit answer. I once watched a friend ask my friend who could be thought of as such... And her answer was rather depressingly revealing. I was hoping for a confident woman to stand up and tell me. My fault for the choice of words I see. I will not get the answer I seek the way I have chosen to go about it. I was hoping cause people could be anonymous... Someone might speak up. Intead I got a guy calling me a prude... And I offended someone. Not my intensions at all.

Thank you for an honest answer. I didn't consider experience. I will admit... Only relationship sex does lead to tension with new partners. And lack of confidence with said new person as well.

Don't be a slut, but don't be a prude either. Set some clear boundaries and have morals. What you are seeing on TV is not a good thing and its not cool. Men, contrary to what you might think, actually have more respect for a girl who poses a bit of a challenge to get into bed and who seemingly has a clear set of morals. If you are the type of girl who jumps into the sack with anyone after just minutes of talking (not literally, just making a point.) guys will definitely still give you attention, but only because they want to sleep with you. They will see you as nothing but a walking sex toy, aka no respect for you as a person. Plus once you are labeled a slut, its very hard to shake that label when you have decided to settle down and actually get a BF/husband. The only advantage to being a slut is more sex. But in my opinion, if you want more sex, just get a Boyfriend who is willing to have sex with you whenever you want. It may be the same person every time, but its effortless and always there.

If this were true, all women would be sluts. A slut is someone who will have sex with every guy that hits on her. The pro? More sex. Sluts are good people, without them, who would the men sleep with when girlfriends won't have sex with them for six months? How will men lose their virginity? Where will all the prostitutes go? I think a "slut" - let's call this Simply, Lovely, Uninhibited Treasure - who is being honest and is not making these guys think they're in an exclusive relationship and is not seeking an exclusive relationship herself can be happy. Obviously there is an increased risk of STDs and pregnancy, so that is a very, very strong disadvantage. But the advantage is getting to have sex with lots of different body types, personalities, styles, and preferences. Everything has its pluses and minuses, even here.
