A few things:
1. Guys are not nearly as picky as you think, and not nearly as harsh a critic of women's bodies as women are. Most of us are attracted to a WIDE range of looks and body types. Sure, if a girl has a Victoria's Secret body, we're probably going to notice her, but that doesn't mean we don't also notice the girl with a couple of extra pounds too. Men are genetically programmed to desire VARIATION, so we not only like lots of different types of women, but we also enjoy how each woman is different from the last. It's why we're very accepting of wide variation of body parts, when women seem to believe that only one type is attractive (usually whatever they don't have). We enjoy the differences.
2. Your body mainly determines whether there is any initial sexual attraction. Note that I said "initial." Except for the super-shallow guys or guys who only care about getting laid and sending you on your way, guys are going to want to talk to you, and see what kind of personality and attitude you have. They do that because personality is a HUGE piece of the attraction puzzle, and a good personality can add points to your "attractive scale", while a bad one can subtract them. A girl might have a "9" body, but be annoying or bitchy, and a guy might rate her a "4" overall. Another girl might only have a "6" body, but has an awsome personality and is easy to get along with and fun, and a guy might rate her an "8" overall. Unless it's just a one-night-stand, it's the overall score that counts, not just the "looks" score.
3. You have to factor in a guy's tastes. You may have a couple of extra pounds, but maybe that gives you big boobs, and a big-boob guy finds you totally hot. Or maybe it makes your ass nice and round, and an ass man almost can't keep his hands off of it. If you have the feature they really like, they are going to be less apt to care if your tummy isn't flat or if your thighs are a bit big, because their focus is elsewhere.
I'm not saying that looks aren't important, but not in the way you think they are. If you think that ONLY Victoria's Secret girls are going to get a man's notice, you're VERY mistaken. And if you have a positive attitude and a positive body image, so you're comfortable with how you are (even if you are working to improve it), it's going to make most guys comfortable with how you are too.
Can I ask you how old you are, 15, 16, 17? At that age 80% of the boys care only and ONLY abouth your body, they don't have a taste of theyr own abouth womans and accept what the media tells them is beautiful aka skinny girls. As they grow older, year by year they will generate theyr own taste of girls and you will start geting more attention. Belive me ! I'll give you an example, I'm average looking but I have a greath personality and I'm full of positive confidence and I can win almost every girl that's skinny and gorgeous, but still 90% of girls I've dated are average looking but I fell in love with theyr personality and not looks.
attraction deals with a person as an individual. you have to decide if some one is attractive. Your or other people preferences are not always the tall model like female or thick big bottomed female. It all depends on what your body physically reacts to...
Few guys will see past appearance when it comes to weight. Overweight girls are normally the last they go to and no amount of personality can make up for lack of attraction.
Not true, Mlle. I for one, cannot stand the size 0, plastic blondes. I even have a name for them. I call these kinda girls "Little Miss Got No Ass At All". I would much rather have a woman with a few extra pounds and a kind disposition that any Skinny chick starving herself to death.

Funny you should ask, I ran into a very hot brunette yesterday, when I was shooting pool after work. Cute as a button, nice bumper cheeks. I don't think she even realized how sexy she really was, because she didn't seem that confident. I chalked it up to this.

Absolutely! Beauty is not just looks. To me it is a whole package. I can't stand a bitchy girl with a crappy attitude I don't care what she looks like it brings her whole person down. I don't see weight unless it is obesity. I see a pretty smile, sexy eyes, a sense of humor, charm, ...

I can say that I have talked to really hot women but their personality has been the BIGGEST turn off since they aren't confident in themselves unless they put make up, people tell them they are pretty, etc...
on the other hand I meet an average girl whos down to earth, confident with a cute face. I would love to spend time with her and get to know her since those are the girls I am attracted to the most.
so be confident about who you are and guys will be lining up for you :)
Skinny girls get attention AT FIRST but any guy worth keeping will ignore them really fast if their personality is terrible and only guys that have one thing on their mind will hang out around her
