I'm a 34DD, is that too big?

i'm thinking about a reduction...should I have one? they're not saggy or anything, it just makes it difficult to find clothing that fits both my waist and my chest...

  • Well, I don't know much about the health concerns in having 34DD breasts, though I understand that it could have a negative impact on your back and shoulders, but I can tell you that they look great!

    I love boobs, so I'm a little biased, but yours sound spectacular. Also, I saw your pictures in your profile and they really seem to fit you. Some girls' boobs look so awkward that it almost feels pornographic even when they are trying to hide them. At least in the pictures you have in your profile, that doesn't seem to be a problem for you. You wear them well and you look sexy as a result.

    Oh, one thing about breast reductions: I have seen a few friends' boobs after having them and you should keep in mind that the scars are very real. They fade after time, but they don't go away. I don't understand why the scars have to be so serious (why can't they just cut around the nipple like with implants?) but they are. Just keep in mind that they don't "reduce but retain" your boobs. They flat out cut them up.

    Obviously, you should be more concerned with your health and confidence that with what other people think, but I think that your appearance can factor in as well. I guess a good rubric would be that if you don't care for them or if they bother you, then you should keep them. If you hate them or if they are hurting you, then it's worth it to get rid of them.

    • Okay, you just put up another picture that shows them off a little more and confirms that your boobs are awesome! Don't worry about appearance at all--in fact, be proud of it. I think your only concern should be health issues, which, as I think we've all said, can be important or not depending on how severe they are and how you feel about them.

  • I personally don't think that's too big but I am a chest man myself. Some are more legs or rear-end focused when it comes to women, but not I. I know some guys might comment (or girls) that they're way too big or some stuff like that but keep in mind there are a lot of guys who'll like 'em at the size you have.

    I would carefully consider a reduction, as doing so can, from what I understand, cause as much scarring and such as one getting them enlarged. If you're worried about clothes, I have heard there are specialty shops (online and off) that you can go to. Victoria Secrets might be one place you check but I've not been in one so I don't know for sure.

    I'd just be proud of who you are, and enjoy what ya have been blessed with. :)

  • i have a similar problem... 38DD... makes finding cute and sexy bras or wearing cute tops very difficult... I've thought about having a reduction myself... in the end... its what your comfortable with! if they really bother you that much... then do it to it girl...the whole back and shoulder thing sucks but in the end... only you can make the decision that's gonna be best for you... and don't listen to the guys... their biased and will almost always say no..lol!

    its not all "I have big boobs." its "I can't fit in this sweater." "Im getting harrassed by older men." its not that we don't "appreciate" it sometimes the hassle isn't worth it

    • EXACTLY! I had this old drunk man in london follow me around saying "VERY NICE" like Borat! and I try to buy a button-down and it'll fit perfect around my waist but I'll need 2 sizes larger to fit my boobs and then it's just absurdly large on the rest of me.

    • I hate it when shirts are like that. Its either make your stomach look fat or stuff your chest into the top half of a shirt.

  • Yeah, I just answered another question about big boobs. haha Anyways, my cousin is really big too, and she's always having trouble finding clothes that fit. She usually ends up with clothes that are a little big so that her boobs fit. And sometimes she has clothes taylored to fit her. I would base it off of your comfort level though. Are they hurting your back or making you uncomfortable?

  • If they are causing you back pain or causing you distress mentally for whatever reason then consider a reduction.

    Otherwise Bra size and clothing is not good enough reason in MY opinion.

    There's plenty of clothes and bras that cover your breast size you just need to expand your fashion choices.

  • I know what you mean, I'm a 44DD and its hard to find clothes that fit me too but some guys like big boobs so I think your ok

  • This is a question that only you can answer. It's your body and if you feel your boobs are a hassle and lower the quality of life for you as a result of the difficulties they cause, go ahead.

  • personally, I'd think a reduction would only be in order if it was a health situation, you know? like it's causing you back problems, yer miserable all the time, etc. If it's just a clothing fit issue, I know that's still difficult, but when you find the things that fit right, I'm sure you and your 34DDs will look amazing! :) this maybe is just a reflection of my own personal feelings, but surgery is so hard on your body, that I think it's best to really consider decisions on elective procedures very carefully and cautiously. best of luck!

  • I understand what you mean by clothes not fitting comfortably, I'm the same size as you and even my mom is jealous lol. I thought about a reduction, but decided on a no really fast. I'm happy with what I have.

  • Most guys like big breasts. I would keep them while your young and maybe get a reduction when you get older(like 40's) to relieve your back and not have them all saggy.

    No one can answer that question but yourself. Are you in discomfort from back pain or are you trying to force yourself into a mold of what other people think that you should be. Don't allow others to dictate what you do, especially when it comes to something as important to your health and well being, especially when it comes to elective surgery just to please others. There are plenty of places where you can find clothing made to fit your amply blessed figure, so please don't be a slave to fashion either.

  • to a boob man, no. but all around dd is not to big on how you describe yourself and of course the style of top/dress you wear.

    if they are formed well you can wear about anything you want and they would look great and are never to big. but if they hang to your belly button they would not be attractive.

    I am sure you are very pretty and have a hot body and a real man won't be shallow and love you only for your boobs. my recent girlfriend that I left in California (hispanic) had DD and they look great and they are famous for wearing low-cut tops. and she dressed to accent them and she liked the attention without the hassle.

  • No... 34dd is not nearly big enough to have a reduction in my opinion. That size is actually pretty normal. I'm a 34f and although they can be annoying, I think above an f would then be considered for a reduction...
