Is not wearing a bra slutty?

Sometimes when I go out I enjoy the freedom of being braless. I don't want to be portrayed as a slut but sometimes my nipples will poke through my shirt when its cold out or the wind is blowing. I don't mind when guys look but I don't want them to think I am a slut. I do wear a bra sometimes but the majority of the time I don't. I just think they are uncomfortable and I just enjoy the freedom of being natural. I don't wear anything see through or nothing like that but when I wear a tube top or a tight dress the nips really show. Do you think I should just wear a bra or say screw it and not care what people think?

  • Women have boobs and men will look. Women also have nipples on those boobs, and men will look at those, too. Not big deal at all as far as I am concerned. The whole idea of hiding the nipples is exactly that - hiding the nipples. Well I already know they exist! Will you try and hide the breast (so that you cannot see that a woman has them)? Guys will look just as they will look at breasts shaping your shirt. So what?
    The other day I saw a beautiful lady walking, wearing a sweater that was somewhat loose. Not like a tent, but definitely not tight. Her nipples were obvious and the movement of her breasts was also obvious. Very attractive since it was normal, instead of shaped and held by an article of clothing.
    If you want to go without a bra then do so. I also support women going topless in many situation (such as at the beach).
    And I really hate how terms like "slutty" get put on people. Your not wearing a bra is not slutty (whatever that really means).

  • After one full year of college life, nothing a woman wears concerns me anymore. Clothing, or the lack of, is of little consequence to me.

    What a woman is willing to do with herself is a whole different story.

    EXAMPLE: IF(and I mean IF) you were wearing pretty much what you are in your photo now, I would not think much of it at all. Were you to knock on my door bundled up with layers of clothes and told me to take you right now...THAT'S when I'll get excited.

    That or I'd slam the door on you wondering why you would consider me in the first place.

  • I don't like thinking that the way someone dresses makes them appear slutty. It's more about behavior , but I guess the way you dress is apart of that. Still, I prefer to think of it as being "suggestive".

    Some girls can definitely pull off no bra and not look slutty. I'm sorry, but that's generally girls with small boobs. For example: link link These look fine, in my opinion.

    However, with big breasts it tends to look far more provocative and "look at me". I have large boobs, and whilst they are pretty dern perky and what not I would die before going out braless. Why? Because it just looks way too suggestive to me. That being said, I don't like that kind of attention from guys, so if you're into it (I'd assume you are) then go for it. However, yes - it's more than likely that guys will think it's 'slutty'.

    • Can't see the first picture, but the way the nipples show in the second is considered bad by the many that seem to want to deny that women have them. I will certainly notice when a woman's nipples are apparent, but I notice breasts in general, hips, etc. I see nothing wrong about the nipples being obvious. They are normal.

I think you asked this question just to get some male affirmation, not because you care what people think about your visible nipples anyway.

  • I rarely were a bra but I have small boobs (34b) and I can do it. My nipples do show some of the time but I'm OK with that as everyone has them. I don't think it's slutty at all. In fact, I think it shows the girl is confident and secure in everything she does.

  • Guys aren't the ones who have a problem with this (most of us like it), it's other women that think it's "gross" or "slutty". And to this day I still don't really understand why, other than that they might be losing some attention they want to girls not wearing a bra.

    Anyway, I'm all for it.

  • Depends what you're wearing. A lot of European women go braless when wearing classy blouses, sun dresses and other nice things. If you're just wearing a tank top or whatever, it comes across as more sexual. Either way, I don't find it slutty. I'd hate to have to wear a bra... I even need a break from underwear sometimes.

  • personally I don't really go with out a bra often because of my nipples. I just don't always feel comfortable with them popping through...but I would totally wear something like that if I was in the mood, it would be a turn on :)

  • No, I think it's normal. It would only be slutty if you don't wear a bra because you want to attract some random guy you found at a bar, or some other place. Other than that, it's normal. I have seen girls braless in stores, and in public parks. I did not find it slutty.
