Can you bleach the skin around your pubic area/butt crack? Does anyone else have this problem?

This is one of the things I hate about my skin. Do any other medium tan/very light brown people (esp. women) here have this problem? I know its common among darker asians, latinas, and black women so I can't be alone here...what do you do about this? im black and I'm very light skinned but my skin gets a lot darker there and I'm like wtf, can I bleach that ? my mom doesn't have this problem. not fair. -__-

  • Like anon said, you can go to certain salons and they will bleach it for you. A lot of p*rn stars do this.

There is anal bleaching and vulva whitening (makes me giggle when I say that). Basically they wax your bits and then apply an acid to it, rubbing it into your skin. Then I think they give you another cream to apply yourself. Depending on how dark your skin is and the success of the bleach, you might have to get it multiple times. It's also not permanent, so you'd have to go back to maintain it.

However, apparently there are a lot of possible side effects that happen somewhat often. It's recommended that you get it done by MDs in spas, rather than not. Burning, irritation, scarring and even darkening or total depigmentation are possible risks.

Dear God, I read about a lot of weird crap.

    • lol that's good, you can help people with weird problems. :)

    • Hahhaaha sureee :D

  • I've bleached my hair before and it can sting and itch a little, there is no way I'd ever consider putting bleach down there! Its natural, most women have darker or different colored skin down there. Don't worry about it!

    • you bleached your pubes? well, I believe that actually. some girl on tumblr likes to make large hearts with her pubes and dye them red. or she did that once anyway.

    • Opps, I meant the hair on my head not down there. I would never consider putting any kind of chemicals down there! Anyway, most dyes for down there don't have bleach in, they're mainly natural dyes.

    • ohhh. okay. I've never bleached my hair but I have friends who went really blond and they said it hurt a lot. beauty is pain.

  • Anal bleaching

But I mean, it's natural and guys aren't really concerned with the color down there...but anal bleaching is an option if it truly bothers you.

  • Haha I like how you busted out your mom and said she didn't have this problem lol. Don't put your mom out on gag like that lol. Yeah there is anal bleach and apparantly other bleach for your other parts as well as I am learning. I have the problem of darker skin around the public area as well but I guess I don't care enough to change it but I am tan and it does get significantly darker down there.

    • lol I'm constantly jealous of my mom. she's got great skin and I hate her for it. it happens. do you believe that she has these perfectly smooth, flawless legs that just magically don't ever have hair on them? my dad ruined the gene pool, for a woman anyway. -__- if I were a guy I don't think id care about this dark pubes thing as much. maybe I would, idk. it gets so dark though. I hate it. my first boyfriend (white) actually asked me, "is it supposed to look like that?" lmao! I cried after. that's rough.

    • Haha don't be jealous of your mom, like you said it happens. Which I also say a lot so its funny you said it here lol. Uhm I guess I can believe your mom has all these great features you say she has, that and she probably takes good care of herself now. Just like your mom has these skin and hairless features you are jealous of, I'm sure your mom is jealous of a feature you have that she might not have.

    • And I guess you are right and it does bug me that my pubic skin is darker but since it balls and penis I don't know how comfortable I am using these bleach products especially since balls are more irregular skin and I don't know how effect it would be. And I'm like you it gets dark. I am like latino tan color and down there it gets many shades darker. As to your first boyfriend I don't know what his problem was. I guess sorry about that since he made you cry. I happens...

  • I have very pale skin and the top of my but crack is a little more red than the rest of me. I never thought about bleaching it I just accept it's one of the things I don't like and after reading a few other answers I know it's alright to have darker skin around your private parts.

  • Dude, it's natural. Don't bleach your skin.

  • Yeah, people bleach both areas all the time to lighten the skin tone (obviously). Not sure where they do it but if you can find out, go there to get it done.

  • You can I think, but not a lot people bother as it's natural, dark skinned people are not the only ones that have this problem fair skinned people too (caucasians).

  • You can but personally, I wouldn't recommend it. It did lighten the skin some, but it also irritated it, A LOT. And a side effect of doing so is that it can also cause the area to become even darker.

In the end, It wasn't worth it.

    • you did it?

    • Yes, I did

  • I have this too, I just wonder if the bleaching would burn at all? I will most likely never do anything about it. Seems pretty pointless

    • pointless but then at least it would be prettier. I need to stop watching so much p*rn is what it is. they look so perfect.

    • ya if I watch p*rn I don't get turned on I get turned off cause all the girls are perfect, lol. Id never watch that crap with my boyfriend. They are airbrushed too though remember that. I know its hard.

    • yeah, I know, I know. but I want someone to airbrush me on a daily basis. that would be nice.

  • there is a technique that p*rn stars do but I don't know what its called. I have this issue but I don't consider it a problem worth fixing. its normal to be darker in those areas, men and women are

    • Yeah, I remember seeing something on TV about it concerning p*rn stars.

    • i wonder if its expensive? I'm broke anyway so not like it matters but I may ask the dermatologist about it. I'm pretty sure he'll look at me like " I've got patients with real problems to see. get over it, bitch." then again, id probably switch to a female derm. I don't feel like spreading the goods to a male doctor. thats...awkward.
