Nudism in the family. Love it, hate it, tell all about it.

Just like the title says. Do you like/hate nudism in the family. Would you want a family that isn't afraid of being naked together?

  • Coming from a non-nudist family, the idea seems pretty weird to me, but I do think there's a lot of value in teaching kids that nudity doesn't have to be sexual. And I'm sure that seeing real people naked is probably great for self-esteem, as well! Fewer body image issues later in life. :)

If I ever have kids, I don't plan on raising them in a nudist environment (though I don't plan on making a huge deal out of nudity, either. I would definitely want my kids to understand that their bodies are nothing to be ashamed of!). But nudism does work for a lot of people, so while it's not really for me, I have nothing against the idea. :)

  • I'm the only child in my family & the last thing I want is to see my parents walking around the house nude. I'm close to them but I wouldn't want to be that close.

However, if I was raise by nudist parents, I wouldn't think anything of it. The idea seems interesting if the purpose is to educate about nudism rather than the sexual aspect of it.

  • I see my mom naked all the time and it doesn't phase me at all. Usually she's taking a bath while I'm trying to get ready in the bathroom, haha. But other family members? No thanks XD

  • Our family is very close, and we've often considered embracing nudism for family events such as cook-outs and weddings. We've decided against it as our Uncle Jamus suffers from a rare and unpredictable bowel disorder which hazards frequent and voluminous anal discharges. These unfortunate events have ruined multiple family meals in the past, and we think it inadvisable to unleash his seeping bunghole upon the furnishings.

    • Have you tired doing it without him?

    • Are you kdding? Uncle Jamus can fart the 1812 Overture. It's the big event we all wait for!

    • Now that's some entertainment. Record it and put it on Youtube. Give me a link. You have me very interested now. lol.

  • I am not a nudist, and neither is my family. I have read about nudist families, and watched documentaries about it. I find it kind of interesting. It makes me think of how life must have been a long, long time ago. I also like how nudity does not have to be sexual. I would like to visit a nude beach, or a nude resort someday. I think it would be an interesting experience.

    • From what one of my old friends told me, it's just like going to a regular beach. Where everyone else is naked, you don't really feel anything sexual. He said he'd do it again.

    • I know that it's not sexual; it does feel a little different the first time though (I assume).

  • it's awkward, imo.

    • It is, until you try it. You get used to being naked, and when everyone's doing it, it's nonsexual. Unless you're in an orgy. lol

    • well, my family doesn't work that way lol.

    • not many do. Mine doesn't either. But I'd like to get married, and have a family where we can do something like this. Maybe even go to france, or brazil and go to the nudist beachs. lol

  • im usually nude or topless at home. parents and bro are cool with it, but they don't do it.

    • Need to get them to join in with ya. It's more fun when more people do it.

    • i wouldn't mind it. I don't see what the big deal is about nudity.

    • Some people don't feel comfortable with it. Me I love it, so I hope to have a nude family.

  • I like boundaries. Please don't walk around naked...

  • I love to have a nudist family, though at present, besides myself, wife and sister, a few friends and two cousins are nudist. All appreciate my efforts to bring this change in family.

  • I do it all the time and so does the fam

  • id rather not see my family naked

  • I plan to raise my family as nudist. Having a positive view of the body is healthy. Requiring the body to be covered up cast a nagative stigma on nudity and sexualizes the body.

  • Nudism is great for families. The practice is especially popular in various European countries. Parents and their kids feel comfortable watching TV, eating dinner, and doing house cleaning while clothes-free. There are a number of clothing optional beaches around the world where many families enjoy being nude and soaking in the sun. I run NNC, a nudist networking site, and our most popular group is for family nudists.

  • I’ve grown up as a nudist since I was a little boy. I love being a nudist. It is very freeing. But the only problem is that I haven’t hit puberty and everyone else has, so I get made fun of for my small penis
