Myths, misinformation, social stigma, religiosity, fear of the unknown... It's a complex web of psychological and sociological factors I'm sure. Social stigmas and taboos spread like a virus and take on lives of their own and, even when outdated, stubbornly refuse to die.

We are all products of our environment and in North America we are immersed in an environment that doesn't seem to like the natural human body very much. Instead of rightly using nature as the basis for our sense of normalcy, we see our bodies as flawed by default and think they need to be changed to be "right".

And I'm not just talking about circumcision. We're always obsessively scrubbing to get rid of germs (many of which are helpful, even necessary), going crazy with makeup and cosmetics (to mask our natural scents or "imperfections") and and getting unnecessary aesthetic surgery. These days it's normal to be artificial and those that aren't are uneasy or even ashamed. We've pathologized our very selves and we're uncomfortable with being as we're naturally supposed to and we pass on that discomfort to others until we're all self-conscious. Never doubt the power of shame and social consensus.

From what I've seen most girls on here are ambivalent about it, satisfied with either an intact or circumcised guy and that's cool. Most probably haven't encountered an intact one but they keep an open mind and I respect that. I rarely see any, though, that are enthusiastic foreskin lovers so it's always SO refreshing to see that some girls really adore them. I love being intact but I've always been self-conscious about it too so it's really awesome to know there are girls that have a fetish for it and actively seek it out. I dream that one day I might find myself a foreskin lovin' woman!

I don't get it either, lol, I think it's silly the way some people freak out. I've been with both and have no preference either way, but I don't understand the demonization of uncut penises. My boyfriend is uncut and I love it. I'd love it just as much if he were cut, but he's not, and I have fun with what he has. I think of foreskin as something 'extra' to play with, and I personally feel that uncut is more fun to perform oral on. It just seems to me that there's more you can do, more sensations to give, in part due to that foreskin. I think circumcision in most cases is completely unnecessary, but most guys don't get to make that decision for themselves, it's chosen for them, unless they decide for themselves when they're older. A girl told me recently she prefers circumcised penises because it's easier to perform oral, other people have said it's better hygienically. and still more people just like the opposite of what you like. The question of sensitivity is still up in the air though as it's difficult to prove one feels more than the other I believe.

In America the majority of guys are cut, so of course women here are gonna expect and want that. The majority of women agree, the cut penis is more attractive to look at. Another reason cut is preferred is that, if a guy doesn't clean is penis well. Bacteria will grow inside the skin folds, which makes women complain of an old cheese type odor. Also uncut has a little better chance of contracting an STD.

Outside America and some parts of Africa, uncut is the norm. Though some males end up having their foreskin taken off, because of tears in the skin.

here in (northern) Europe uncut is most common and people don't dislike it. Its not less hygienic or anything ( unless you live in a trailer and wash monthly) but its just what people perceive as 'normal' .beauty standards and body standards differ from country to country from culture to culture, and often they will see it as being better healthier and such things

I am partially cut. The only reason I am partial is because of a medical reason I had as a baby. I only have a little tip removed but my head is still completely covered.
