Plastic surgery- yes or no?

I remember seeing a magazine poll that said 70something percent of guys would be turned off from a woman if she has had cosmetic surgery. Is this true? Or is it a turn on? Indifferent? Just curious.

  • Most of the time, plastic surgery isn't so blatantly obvious these days, unless you're getting proportionally obvious fake boobs. Skinny girls just don't have naturally huge t*ts.

And it's a bit of a double-edged sword here. I think a lot of guys would be turned off if they discovered that she's had work done before they have a chance to fall in love with her. But on the other hand, keeping something like that hidden until you've been in a relationship for a while could possibly ruin that relationship, or at least a decent portion of the trust that's been built.

Ultimately, I'd say if you have something done, forget that you did, and never mention it again to anyone, but unfortunately, there's probably "before" pictures of you somewhere that your SO will eventually see, and you'll have some explaining to do.

    • I agree- guys don't have surgeries to make their d***s bigger, why do we need surgeries to get bigger boobs? real is better than fake, unless you are a burn victim or something, or if you get a really tiny surgery like a small nose job

  • No. I get nightmares of those plastic faced Hollywood women!

Okay not really but usually plastic surgery does not make a woman more beautiful, sometimes the opposite.

I guess I wouldn't mind about the surgeries if the girl looked natural like there never was any surgeries.

  • Plastic or cosmetic surgery in moderation is fine! There are millions of women who've had plastic or cosmetic surgery...do you believe they never find love?

My sister has implants and she's happily married. Her sister in law has implants and is in a relationship happily(granted she waited until AFTER she had children and had contemplated it for 15 years+)

If a girl has ugly t*ts, she should get them fixed. If someone has a large ass nose or big lips that don't fit their face, they should probably consider surgery.

Most people on this site are anti-surgery and hate anything and everything fake. ironically, real life people are less judgmental and don't base a persons worth on surgery

Natural is generally preferred if it looks good

  • Plastic surgery can help one's self image and confidence. If done for the right reasons it is perfectly fine. The number of men using plastic surgery is rapidly increasing too.

Men then do can get turned off by the idea but they sure like the results.

  • idk and I don't really care about how men feel. I've known girls with plastic surgery who have no problem finding guys. I need plastic surgery because nature dealt me a sh*tty hand. gotta fix what you can fix. unfortunately its hella expensive

  • Nothing worse than a fake girl with fake curves, there's nothing sexy about wanting to look like a clothes dummy, or manequinn, so yes, I don't think plastic surgery is something that should be on a girls list,x

    • A lot of the guys answers seem to have the same conclusion/underlying tone that if a girl has plastic then she as a person is fake. What is the logic behind this? I know that isn't part of my question, but I think I'm more interested in that question than my original one! (if you don't mind answering)

    • well its kinda like buying a rolex for thousands of pounds because it looks like a real one, but its actually a fake, it doeasnt give you the same excitement as a real one would, so the same for a girl, real curves beat fake ones hands down,x

  • plastic surgery for purely comestic reasons would be a turn off. even if it looked okay, it would indicate that the girl was obbessed with how she looked, and in general I go for low maintance, fuss free girls.

plastic surgery for a more medical reasons (to cover burns after a fire, for example) wouldn't bother me at all, though.

  • I think from listening and talking to guys that yes it is true that they are not all that impressed with girls getting cosmetic surgery

  • haha.. I don't deal in fake sh*t. either you got it or you don't. fake boobs, fake lips and any thing else forget it, keep your sh*t. I'd take a flat chest that is natural over fake t*ts.

  • so true, no guy wants to be with a fake women, this includes body parts

  • I'd be one of those turned off by it, yeah.

  • No! I absolutely have no interest in a girl whose had sure, it's almost like when I find our a girl smokes I lose complete interest

  • I just find them unnecessary in most cases and prefer natural,

but I wouldn't dislike the girl or be turned off by it

  • The problem about plastic surgery is not the result but the principle.

We like good-looking women but we hate to be deceived. When you alter your look in a way when you're no longer "you" - we feel cheated.

  • It depends what surgery it is. Why what surgery did you have in mind?

    • I've actually had 3 surgeries already, with plans for a couple more. I like what I've done, and it hasn't changed who I am as a person. To answer my own question: if you get work done just make sure it's for the right reasons and it's fine. I can understand if someone doesn't like the feel of fake breasts for example, thus making it a turn off but to assume a woman is fake because she has plastic is interesting to me. If someone wants to give more insight on that I'm open.

    • I agree with you that it doesn't change the person. I don't think people here saying that the person is a fake. I don't feel that way. I believe the person is real inside and most people do. What I think these people mean is they think natural is better not that they dislike what some has done to themselves. Personally I think the surgery should be based on an individual basis rather than lumped into a generality.

  • Turn off

  • I'm not a terribly big fan of it. It's only a turn off when something fake is added to her body, like breast implants.

  • I had my nose done. Some guys care and some dont

    • What have you had done so far?

  • They say because they don't know what's a good surgery, I did a noose job and I look So much hotter and get way more attention than before So here you go...
