Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Hmm.

Well, I don't think people 'buy the cow because it doesn't give free milk'. But its probably true that, in general, people buy cows a lot later because there are other ways of getting milk. Maybe not THAT cow, but another one.

I think also, cow-buyers might be more enthusiastic if they didn't hear so many rumors that after purchasing cows, they sometimes produce very little milk.

Yup. And its not just a 'woman' thing. I've spoken to a fair number of women here whose husbands don't uh ... show up to milk the cow very often?

No I don't agree with this...sex is a long way from the only reason to get married...and females should NEVER think that the most important thing they have to offer to a male is sex...but...I think when people live to together then they are getting all of the advantages of marriage and are likely to be in no hurry to marry...(:(:(:

I think so just because I feel like girls give it away for free now without even making the guy work for anything so why should he be faithful to one person. Some woman are way to easy now a days.

No. Sex is only one part of a relationship. A very important part, but not the whole reason to be in a relationship. A guy who moves on from girl to girl because he's already "gotten the milk" isn't worth having as a boyfriend anyway.

Those sayings had to do with marrige, originally, and I think there's lots of reasons not to get married today - the fact that you're sleeping with someone isn't even in the top 10.
