  • We are not calculators. We do not work with numbers.

We don't measure you all around with our eyes, analyze the data and decide you are chubby. That doesn't happen.

We see the whole package once, and instantly decide which adjectives we could describe you with.

But, I already know that this answer will not satisfy you, so I calculated your BMI, and found that it is 25.9, which is above 25, and therefore is considered to be "overweight".

BMI is a very loose scale though, and the healthy limit of 20-25 is set for an average person, regardless of gender. So you might not actually be overweight. I don't know.

There are "healthy limits" set for certain genders, or people from certain age groups, or etc. but I don't know about them, and I':m not sure how much they help your case.

  • Wouldn't bother me.

  • your weight doesn't really tell me anything because everyone can look different.

chubby means you are chunky. you are kind of round and plump looking but not obese.

especially carrying weight in the stomach and without much of a waistline. that and a fat face are the most common "chubby" appearances

thick means she carries weight but looks in shape. particularly weight around her hips and thighs and ass.

at least that's how I think of it.

  • First off, I don't mean to be rude or mean. But weight is something you can always change and If that's you're only concern, you're doing pretty good. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you probably look fine and that you shouldn't change. Because that's not gonna help you. Just from the bmi chart, you're at the very first stage of overweight(150.) but most importantly, you're obviously concerned about it, so just go to the gym and shed off 15 lbs.

  • Unless he's a shallow douchebag then no. It just makes you human. No one is perfect. If he did care then he's not the kind of guy you would want to be with anyway. Don't even worry about it:)

  • I googled someone 5'5' and 150 lbs and got this picture

    link

I don't know if it'll come up but She's not bad looking, I'd say a little on the thick side but she has good curves, she wears her weight well. Chubby is a term I'd use for someone that doesn't have as well defined a figure.

  • I am dating a girl who is thick but has a very definable figure. By no means would you call her chubby or fat. Chubby or fat means to mean her figure is GONE.

  • My answer may sound off-topic, but trust me it is very relevant. Forget what people think, and think about it this way:

If the guy is serious about you, then he has no complaints on your body, thus you have nothing to be insecure about.

If he is a player who is after sex, then he likes your body and he has no complaints, thus you have nothing to be insecure about.

It is a win-win situation, the way I see it. :)

  • A small belly can actually be kind of fetching on a girl. Any guy who would complain about that when with a stacked 18 year old has issues.

  • Impossible to know without seeing you. Some girls could carry the weight very well at that height and others not. But generally speaking when a guy says a girl is "thick" she's carrying the weight on her hips, thighs and torso, not her midsection.

  • Being honest, numbers don't mean anything to a guy.

We'd need to see a pic. That's how we are.

  • If she's fatter than me and taller than me, she's going to be considered "big". I don't like the words chubby and thick, I find them more insulting than "big". By the way, I'm 5'8" and 120 (seems to be fluctuating though)

  • Please don't get me wrong, but guys are very visual. So it a depends how you actually look to an idividual guy.

  • Hi, I totally think its what the is attracted too, and I'm 4 inches taller then you and weight that same amount, but I'm bigger boned to, but everyone should be comfortable in their own skin..

  • Sorry to say, but you are a bit heavy. I'm 2 inches taller than you and weight 20-25 pounds less. Hit the gym !

    • Sorry to say, you can't reasonably say that without seeing someone first. Numbers are irrelevant.

  • Im a little taller than you and weigh less and I think I'm plump as it is. That weight height proportion sounds overweight.

    • What girls don't think they are plump these days :/ We all do... Stupid media lol

    • yea, I feel like I need to loose weight because my stomach isn't completely flat

    • A flat stomach isn't the end all, be all. Without actually seeing someone, or knowing their muscle mass, bone density and level of health, it's not reasonable to even suggest that someone is overweight by comparing them to your own measurements, and then trying to justify it by commenting that you have you own body issues, which, no offense meant by this, are probably all in your head.
