Are girls purposely careful about eating a banana?

Hi all. I recently saw a funny meme explaining how girls should never make eye contact while eating a banana. And I was wondering if girls really make a point to eat a banana (or any other similarly shaped foods) carefully and try not to make eye contact (unless they're specifically trying to be sexual). If so was it because of a particular experience? As in before you didn't care but then one day you had a bizarre/creepy experience causing you to eat it from the on with caution. Or did you always eat them with caution? Or do you always eat them normally not caring what others think? Thanks!

  • simply do not care about others thoughts around you! if they're having weird thoughts or notions while you're eating ANYTHING it's their problem and trust me,it's a problem.there are tons of people in this world who have childish minds. they're evrywhere you go.maturity vs immaturity.be the mature person and understand that only childish ,immature people(usually male) have those thoughts of "oral" as you're enjoying a banana.this is NOT your problem,it's theirs.to change eating habits for anyone like that is to give in as though you're partly to blame and that's absurdity! these people will remain stupid ,regardless of your eating habits./enjoy your banana and don't worry one iota about what anyone nearby thinks of it.btw,it's only your problem if you continue to care about what they think. so stop it

  • Yes, I do feel weird eating bananas around other people (mostly guys) lol. In fact, I will probably just eat something different and not the banana at all. I haven't had an experience that made me self conscious but one time I was with a friend and the guy she liked and she started licking the straw on a milkshake ALOT! and not in a good way! I was thinking WTF! lol So yea, I started to eat bananas differently once I realized guys were probably thinking about something else.

  • LOLOLOL nah, I don't care about bananas but I don't eat them either, I prefer lady fingers. The only time I eat those is if I'm at home.

    Icecream? Well, I'll always try getting it in a cup and eat it with a spoon but if I can't then yeah, I think "..." but just eat/lick it like I usually do (icecream only*). I don't pay attention to eye contact, I don't think I make eye contact with people when eating icecream, I only look at the icecream.

  • LOL Yes, I do eat bananas cautiously. My friend made a comment once while we were at lunch with a group of at least ten people, males included. Everyone turned to look at me and she told them all to watch me eat the banana ha ha I don't eat bananas around her any more, and I am hyper aware when eat them at all.
