Is it weird that I wouldn't mind having his baby?

OK so here's my situation, I been with my boyfriend for 4 months, we are absolutely crazy about each other. I'm 20 and he's about to be 22. He had to leave for Basic Training and he thought he may have impregnated me before he left. When I wrote him and told him I wasn't he makes the joke that he was hoping I was pregnant. If I had been, I don't think that I would have been upset, or disappointed or anything negative really. Is that a bad thing or a good thing?

  • I guess it's a good thing, but I would STRONGLY advise against giving any serious consideration to that idea.

I've seen way too many young bucks join the service then get hitched with their girl right away cause the only way they can be with her is if they get married so she can move to whatever state he's in and live on base. Turns out they really aren't made for each other. Though they might have a kid. He get's a deployment, she starts sleeping around, they get divorced, she takes everything from his meager savings.

It literally happens all the time. Go ask anyone who's been in or near any branch of service.

You may be absolutely crazy about each other, but trust me so have the thousands of other people who've been in the exact same position.

Never do anything out of desperation.

    • I do want to have his kids someday. I'm a student and want to finish school and he wants to go to school too. I'm not going to do it out of desperation plus he's not active he's reserves and he's stationed here. Thank You though.

  • Not weird. But since you are having unprotected sex, it is good you are willing to deal with the results.

When he is home for leave, may want to see how strong the feelings are.
