idk. its kind of like how a lot of christian girls are super freaky because they have all that repressed sexuality. or how some really powerful men like being made into bitches by dominatrix chicks.
if you're used to fitting a certain image, you may like something that is completely opposite to that in bed. or it could be aligned. shy/quiet can be perceived as submissive in comparison to more outspoken people, and if you're kinky but submissive then its not so opposed to your personality. but you seem kind of dominant. so that doesn't apply to you, at least not from what I've read here.
but really, sexuality does not have to be aligned with your personality. how you feel comfortable in social situations or the way you want to perceived in public, at work, your hobbies, your clothing style, etc. doesn't always align with your sexual psychology, your turn ons, and what not. at least not in blaringly obvious ways.
i haven't noticed this as a trend, but some shy girls I've gotten to know in the past like really kinky things.
repression in sexuality also isn't really a "shy" person thing. lots of people are like that, even people who haven't been virgins for years. one of my old shy friends did all kids of stuff and started pretty early actually. for her its the opposite, because she was not sexually repressed, she felt free to act on whatever she wanted and it didn't seem like a big deal.
so many more things aside from just being shy are probably contributing to this.
The more repressed you are, the greater your need, and stronger the outlet, becomes.
Human beings, are naturally highly sexual creatures. The more you repress that desire, the more it will likely overflow, when allowed out, imo.
Aso, you are seeing a comparison between the non sexual women, to the highly sexual Woman. The difference is what make you seem so 'freaky'. if you started off that way,m it would be ore standard garden variety. Sexual human being. Its the difference, that makes it look extreme, imo.

A. You bounce back to shy, not because you have an alterego, but because you have never fully come to terms with it being _ok_ to be sexual..
B. Maybe also because you see that it turns on your boyfriend, when you act innocent.
C. Maybe taking a break from acting highly sexual, gives your mind time to wonder & imagine more scenarios.. much like a state of melancholia helps you to ficus. your brain gets a rest.
I suspect that because you spend so much time alone and "inside yourself" rather than being outgoing and social, you tend to think about these things more, and have fantasies. You've probably done a lot of reading about the wild adventures of other people, because you had the time since you weren't out having your own more "mainstream" adventures. So, now, you have all that bottled up inside you, and you finally have an outlet for it.
Nothing wrong with that, IMO, as long as you can trust your partner with it and he's good to you.
